My experience is in bandarban is out-of-this-world, it’s so diverse & cosmopolitan mountain area with 13 various ethnic group with different in clothing, culture & religions. every time when I go there it’s like an new place because there’s so many places in bandarban, it’s the most remote area in Bangladesh & thanchi upazila is more remote with 1000 sq km area population only 25,000 & density is 28 persons per square kilometre. There’s soo many waterfalls, mountains, creeks, streams, not mention in the tourist guides because most of the people don’t even know it exists. Buddha Dhatu jadi is one of the germs of the area. Its a beautiful area.

This is the best temple I have ever seen in Bangladesh. Ideal time to go there just after the lunch because at midday it becomes the highest of it's golden view. Since this a religious place, don't wear half pant.

This is a bit outside Bandarban but worth the effort. The story of Buddha is displayed in figures on the way to the temple and inside are lovely woodcarvings of Buddha stories.

Things to remember
•you have to climb 200 stairs to reach this temple. In rainy day few steps become very slippery. People specially elder and young children should be very careful if they want to visit the temple
• In mid way you have to put off your shoe and climb stairs to enter into the temple.we left our shoes under a tree.
• Though Taking photos and videos is forbidden there, but people takes photos and videos for its dramatic view
• wearing half pant or three quarter pant is not allowed there
•choose evening time to visit the temple. It will be nice if you visit golden temple and nilachol on the same day

Buddha Dhatu Jadi, Bandarban, Bandarban, Bangladesh is 5 KM from the main road of Bandarban city. You can go there by Rikshaw, Auto Rikshaw, etc. It is located on top of a hill so you will have to deal with few stairs but once you reach the temple your get to see the whole city from top. The temple is decorated with elegant sculptural images. I would recommend you to visit the temple if you are in the area.

It’s around 4 km away from Bandarban city. I went there by CNG (per head 30 bdt) and its better to go in afternoon. Entry fee is 50 bdt per head. While you come back from temple it’s better to get down at Sangu river, you can enjoy the evening on the bridge and take juice/foods from army canteens.
