This is a review of the play barn. Visited The Barn for the first time today with my nearly 2 year old and we absolutely loved it. It was £3 to get in or for £2.50 more it included entry and any kids meal (so £5.50). Me and hubby had a breakfast each which included a coffee. The food and... More

Local to where I live so very convenient. The shop sells mixture of vegetables etc; The honey is to die for, locally produced at Denholme Gate, Yorkshire, honey with extra pollen, really good for hay fever sufferers, just take a spoonful a day or have with bread, really tasty. I have purchased other locally produced foods and been very happy... More

We went for a children's party and it was lovely, the inside of the play area is brilliant and the animal enclosure is great to teach all children. The farm shop is lovely

Went here with my daughter and she loved it but I found it lacking. A very wet day and the animals were out, but they were few and far between. She was happy to see a black sheep, but that was the only highlight. Managed to get into the play barn, packed and had only been open 20 mins. Many... More

Does what it says in the tin really. I short walk past some cages with a small variety of animals that entertained the little one, then into the barn for crashing around, bouncing on stuff and playing. It was fun for him

I took my young granddaughter today and had a wonderful outing. The farm is small but there was plenty for her to see. We spent a few hours in the play barn where she had a really good time playing on the bouncy castle, trampoline, sandpit and lots of toys. It was very reasonable and the food was good. It... More

Okay so a handful of animals (thought it was a farm) with a play area for kids. The let down was the lack of animals and the time it took to acknowledge us and let us in. For the price however it was okay. Staff could do with some training on being a bit more attentive to its customers.

Cute little farm which is free, not a huge variety of animals, but enough for a half hour. Play barn is a must for the under 8's. Only £3 entry, half that for under 18 months old. My kids love the sandpit and trampolines. Coffee priced reasonably, but cake rather dear...
