Even the approach to this chateau is satisfying, it sits on an outcrop high above its splendid formal garden. The best view is from the windows of the chateau itself though walking down into the garden itself is a pleasure. Inside the chateau is not...More

Château de Sassy, built of brick and stone, is the eighteenth century classical-style mansion. There are library, old furniture and tapestries inside, but the most magical, fairylike and unforgettable thing here is the garden with notched hedges and flowerbeds.
