About
This historical company was founded in 1870 and it has been handed down by the same family till today. The machinery used by Gualco to make his grappa is a traditional Piedmont bain-marie batch distillation copper still. The grappa factory is open every day, comprending Saturday and Sunday, and it's always possible to do tastings and to buy grappa in the factory shop. Reservation is required only for the guided tours of the still and the ageing cellar.

It was the prestigious company in my Enoteca Wine-Bar in Rome "Cantina Castrocielo". Artisan company that stood out from a thousand similar businesses. Great Quality, Kindness and Availability of the Owners.
I recommend it to both private individuals and wine shops who want to stand out from the "celebrated" names that make numbers but less quality.

I went there once, bought few bottles, and then I got back few more times. Probably I would go back once more but I traveled further. Great grappas, each one is different story. I advise you to go to their website before your first visit or you might find yourself lost infront the shelf.
