Amazing place to relax and swim with your family and friends. There are a lot of activities there: fluctuation, visiting the cave, zip-line, massage and so on.
The water color is pretty clean and good for photos.

(& the cave snorkeling)

This is the slickest tourist operation that we experienced in the Chapada. Nothing more than you find at tourist places around the world, but a bit jarring compared to other places in the Chapada. Make your own call as to what's interesting to you, but we found that the cave snorkeling was the most fun.

The lunch is ok, but the real winner is the snack shop across the way. The baked things are some of the best that we had anywhere in Brazil, and the cappuccino (which is ore like a cross between hot chocolate and cappuccino) is the stuff of legends. You wouldn't think it, but after a good while in the (surprisingly cold) water, it is exactly what you need.

First of be aware there have been problems with 'esquistossomose' (a very problematic disease caused by infection with freshwater parasitic worms) in the past.
Personally I would NEVER swim there.
Then there is the 'extreme commercial attitude of the owners' (high pricing of about everything) and (willingly) bad organization between the different activities, which is rarely in function of the visitors but in their own commercial and practical interest ...
Another thing, the Gruta Azul, which is from the same owner at less than a 100m is ONLY interesting during less than 1 hour a day ... due to the exact angle of the sun that is needed to have the 'blue effect' in the water of the cave.
If on top you have a clouded day ... then you made a long trip ... for nothing.

This seems to be on every tour agency's agenda. I would not recommend this as being part of your top 6-7 places to visit. It's expensive, and what you get is fairly limited. R$40 per person to enter, another R$40 to go snorkeling (most in the dark and you really don't see anything - the best part is right in front where you start), R$20 for a 15 second zip line experience. Swimming is just okay. There are many better places in the area to swim. And then they get you for the food you eat there. The attendants were okay, but I didn't feel all that special. It would have been worth it for about a third of the total cost, but I felt it was the weakest link of our five days there. It sounds great on paper, but I felt it failed to deliver. Even the famed blue grotto is pretty lame I felt, but perhaps with bright sunshine during the one hour of the day with direct sunlight it is pretty, but.....

The best thing to do in this place is to swim inside the cave. It is really great! For Brazilian standards, though, it is a bit pricey. You pay around US$10.00 per person only to enter the property and you have to pay for everything else. But it is a great place to visit. I visited with family, including toddlers, and everyone enjoyed the day!

Pratinha is a very nice place, with beautiful blue water and a well-organized atmosphere for visitors. But it's definitely a very commercial spot, and not very natural or exotic for those who are more interested in seeing nature at its best. You have to pay for everything and it seems to be an ideal spot for families and kids to spend the afternoon, have lunch and relax.

Not a hidden gem but worth the visit. Very crowded, touristic spot but the visit to float in the cave is worth it. The kids just loved it! The lake is beatiful from above and makes a good quick dive. But that's it. Rated a four due to the cave.

Crystal clear water and a refreshing place to cool off. It's far from a hidden gem however. Full of people and obviously a money maker spot. Buuuut at the same time I understand...it is absolutely beautiful.

The area includes two caves -Gruta Azul (which is beautiful and untouchable) and Pratinha (which you can enter for 40 R$ with a snorkel). It is totally worth it paying the extra money to dive into the cave. It is also possible to pay extra for a zip line or underwater pictures. No idea how to get here by your own, we took a tour with Zen Tour from Lencois.

Crowed place with a lot of trash on the ground and a incredible noisy screaming people everywhere. It is a family lake park, but badly maintained.
Has two incredible caves, one cave has a fantastic view and you cannot go in. The other you can swing outside, or you have to pay more to swing near the cave or you have to pay even more to swing inside the cave.
I do not recommend to go there! You can go to more beautiful and cheaper places very near.
