In the heart of Tuscany, in Radda in Chianti, in the wonderful 18th century convent of Santa Maria al Prato, the Casa Chianti Classico welcomes its guests to its suggestive interiors with several initiatives dedicated to wine and territory culture: the bistrot Al Convento, the exclusive Black Rooster wine shop, a sensorial area dedicated to the wine and the history of Chianti Classico, exhibitions' areas, learning courses on wine, cooking classes by appointment and much more. A terrace overlooking the Chianti hills, the ancient refectory and the inner cloister complete the ancient feeling of the place. Atmosphere and charm lead the Chianti Classico visitor through a world of wine culture, curiosity and amazement but above all through experiences strongly connected to the trademark of Black Rooster and all its facets.

What an absolutely delightful and delicious experience. We were welcomed (bikes, bike kit and all), then treated to the most amazing lunch and exceptional service. Dessert, wines and food were all top notch! Fantastico…grazie mille!

Drove here after seeing on TripAdvisor and website that it was open on Saturday 10-23.00. Poor signage meant we couldn't find it at first, asked in the town and got two different locations. Turns out it was the seemingly abandoned covent close to the stadium, which was well and truly closed.

herewith I thank you for your letter giving us the possibility to apologize for the problem: we are very sorry
for what happened.
Our structure had to close for unforeseen reasons and this concerning there hasn’t been the correct
information.
We would like to inform you that starting from May the “Casa del Chianti Classico” will offer a new event
calendar strictly linked to Milan Expo.

Really great experience sampling delicious wine. We took the tour around the wine journey and tried to figure out the wine we were drinking.
After we sat on the veranda overlooking the vineyards and sampled more wonderful wines with gorgeous views!

I have been visiting and living part time in Chianti since 1992. I have an old friend Andrea Capone who just began working in this fantastic place. As a wine lover I was extremely impressed by the educational exhibits in the casa. The wine tasting room isa must visit for any Chianti lover. The collection they have covers all of the Chianti classico zones. By visiting this one location you can save yourself hours of driving. The setting is authentic and well appointed . I understand the kitchen is first class. I live near many of the wine locales in California and there is nothing equivalent that I am familiar with in those areas.It is a unique, well done, and user friendly way to make you much more knowledgeable about the Classico region.

We turned up around midday and had to search for the wine shop at the back of the building, with little assistance around to help and not much happening.

I was expecting the House of Chianti to be filled with all of the local specialities, but it falls quite short of that. It is essentially a small market for chianti purchases - similar to what you can get when you walk into any restaurant. Skip this place all together and go check out a vineyard or restaurant - it will be much more worth your time.

We dropped into this spot after lunch in Radda. We did a. couple chianti tastings and they wine was varied and good. We ended up purchasing a decent amount and shipping it back to the usa. Fabulous view as well.
