Went in Sep Donnie snow/skiing but had an amazing time The cable car ride is beautiful and pretty surreal as you go from plains to ice capped peaks in 30 min I walked up the barren hill (tool about 2 hours) and it offered sensational views of the Central Asian steppe

You either have to take the cable car, or the eco-taxi/ eco bus to get to the resort. This makes the spot really quiet. Recommend doing a hike from this location,... More

I really enjoyed few days spent in Shymbulak, KZ. I could reccomend this resort to every one. Prices are quite good in comparison with Europe. Resort is clean, quite new and I enjoyed it there. Reccomended.

We caught the #12 bus up to the ice rink. The bus was very full, and it was worth getting on before the often publicised stop outside the Kazakhstan hotel on Dostyk Avenue (that is just around the corner). The bus stop to get off for the cable cars is a few hundred yards short of the ice rink -... More

Service poor as they kept getting our order wrong. Food however was very nice and the toilets were very clean. The waiters were friendly but didn't seem to listen carefully to our order
