A unique experience for me. The sisterhood is housed in another beautiful example of local architecture building. The sisterhood in now days counts 23 female members who organize and promote the "Festa da Boa Morte" which take place every year in the week of August 15. It is indescribable the harmony between costumes, people and the mutual respect between the religious and the syncretism. The enslaved Africans managed to preserve their religion by attributing the names and characteristics of their Yorùbá deities to Catholic saints with similar qualities. These sisters whose tradition descends from slaves, making use of African chants and typical clothes, which attract many people from the African Brazilian communities
