his waterfall is a little out of the way compared to Steinsdalsfossen and Tvindefossen, but it’s worth the detour because there tends to be a lot fewer people here. There’s a small parking lot at the top of the waterfall with room for only one...More

I wouldn't have wanted it any other way! The light rain only added to the mist of the falls, and seemed to make everything so much Greener! We walked to the Basin, and we took photos from above. Additionally, above these falls are some of...More

Wow, after going across the Hardanger Suspension Bridge, we head north on 13 towards Voss and the bus driver pulls off the road & stops at the Skjervsfossen Waterfall. What a fabulous waterfall and spot. There's hardly anyone here and of course there's are public...More

This waterfall is very big and has a very nice landscapes around it. it is very nice to see if you pass it on the way. however, you can find some waterfalls which look more beautiful like Tvindefossen and Latefossen.

Driving past, and managed to pull over to take a quick photo. Even from the road side you still quite a blast of spray from the waterfall. Very picturesque. Stop and have a look if you can.

Hiking options similar to hike from Myrdal to Flam? (4 Replies)
We will be the Oppheim area for 4 full days from Sept 4-7 with no cruise ships in Flam on Sept 6. I have checked availability for Flam train to Myrdal during our stay and generally only the 7:30 am departure is available - even on the day with no cruise ships in port. Do they release some tickets at a later date? Also, it would be only safe to walk down the Rallarvegen trail from Myrdal to Flam if the weather is dry given how steep the trail is up top - so don't really want to pre-...More

Thank you all for your comments and links to different hiking opportunities and how to find Flam to Myrdal train tickets - lots more availability on the suggested website than on the Flam Visitor website. Love the Prest hike recommended by karsten99 - seems to be very scenic and not too long (5 to 6 hrs) - exactly what we are looking for. My only question is the parking lot just above the Stegastein Outlook - the lot looks very small via street view on Googlemaps. So is finding a space...More
