It’s a great, very easy and accessible hike to the viewing spot, and when we walked there were only a couple of other folks we met on our way back.

The landscape is arrestingly beautiful, and the ever-changing weather makes for a stunning vista if one stays awhile on the bench overlooking the cliffs and the finger.

There is a small car park, which is easy to navigate, and then it’s a short 1.5km walk to the viewing point.

An easy hike to tack onto your day if you are exploring Vagar. It's fairly short with a wide gravel trail which is nice compared to some of the muddier unmarked trails in the Faroes. At the end you get a nice view of the Witch's finger and the ocean. There are benches at the end to relax on and enjoy the views!

Nice short work from where we parked our motorcycle. We drove past the little parking lot along the small road, and parked at a small lot before the gate. Beautiful 10 minute hike to the viewing area form that spot. Worth it if you have time. Not too hard to find, just used google maps.

This is known as the witchs finger and only been climbed twice. Amazing views from out boat tour to see the puffins which nest next to this landmark. Well worth a visit.

Trøllkonufingur is a piece of rock looking like a can opener. Or a finger.
You can get only to the place where all the photos were taken from, not further, so don't be disappointed. And right next to the viewpoint is a stream, which you might find more interesting than the Opener. Er, Finger.
So expect a very short walk in nice scenery. And a building site on the last 100m of the path.

Advice no. 1: Don't drive with your car as close to the Finger as possible, but rather leave it down there in the village by the church and enjoy a walk by the stream and along the coast.

Advice no. 2: Do not delay your visit, this place will very soon feature the famous Hi-Fee (nothing to do with audio, this is a Hiking Fee (© Føroyar 2019)). Since the currently fenced path is like a hundred metres long, I guess a fair price for that will be around 50 DKK. Prepare your purses!

This is a nice stop that’s close to the airport if you’re traveling to another island. You can either park in front of the house, or you can keep driving on what at first looks like a trail but is a long driveway. There are several places where it looks like the trail stops but you can go all the way to where the hiking path starts (it’s much smaller & clearly not for driving). It’s about a mile from the house at the beginning of the drive way. You don’t get to go up close to it, but there is a vantage point where you can get good photos. It’s worth it to see the formation. There was no literature or signs about it, that would have made it more interesting / informative.

An easy walk to view the troll finger. Be careful of the wind... It can get really brutal. You can also drive most of the way if your feeling lazy.

We were able to see this neat rock formation right from the trailhead to Sørvágsvath without having to make the separate drive.

It's a characteristic shape of the rock which you can see far away from different locations.
Very nice especially because you see a large portion of sea.

Seeing the cliffs is always beautiful. But it is not as excellent (from distance) as many other spots in the islands. On the other hand if you have a car, why not swing by?
