Huge beach with plenty of space - quite a lot of nudists here though. Minoan site behind beach is not open sadly. Good contrast to Matala nonsense. not much shade though- bring your umbrella

Not worth the drive to go to the south side of the island. The wind caused a sand storm and it is difficult to sit at the beach. The water was fine though, clear and warm.

Family beach. Offers minimum necessary facilities. Parking two restaurants, sunbeds, umbrellas. Beautiful sand and shallow water. Ideal place to relax a little bit. If you walk in to Kalamaki direction after couple hundred meters you will find nudist beach.

The ruins were more extensive than I had expected so great to see. Stunning beach in part due to a lovely lady litter picking with her 2 dogs, many thanks! Sea was sooooo blue and beach lovely.
