St. James is a strange little town that almost looks out of place. The beach is tiny but pretty and has the classic colorful changing rooms that are famous in many photos. This is a quaint little place with a strangely charming atmosphere. When done...More

This beach is like a postcard; sea pool, great beach houses, table mountain backdrop. Just lovely. It’s great for kids (and mussel hunters at low tide). Busy, charming, authentic. Great for a swim! Loved it.

Arrived at beach about 8am. Found good place to picnic. The only downside was that by 1pm it got too crowded.

This is such a great beach for a family day out. There is a wonderful safe tidal pool for them to play in. Great photo opportunities. Go early because it gets really busy later in the day and certainly in season.

Nice beach, if you stay in Muizenberg you can walk from there to St. James on a sunny day and enjoy the weather.
