Few tents are open along the beach. You can rent one tent for RM20. Can opt to buy picnics mat at the near by shops too.

We requested to ride the boat during the sunset time, to enjoy the view of PD sunset. It costs us RM100, per boat, that can be fit up to 7 pax.

We did banana boat ride on the next morning. RM15 per person. And we fallen 3 times. Can actually request for more fall. But, we are just tired to climb the banana again. 😊

They also offer snorkelling actually. But, we don’t have much time to do that. Maybe next time.

The toilet was not so clean and please prepare for small change to enter the toilet.

We had given Blue Lagoon a miss and headed for Teluk Kemang in hope of less crowds and higher tides.

The crowds were still crazy but we did have a higher tide, so decided to stop.

To hire a jetski her is 150 MYR for 15 minutes, so we decided to give it a miss.

The beach was packed with people and tents for as far as we could see. The tents/shelters at the back of the beach make it look like a Surf Carnival (for those from Australia).

We decided to just go for a swim and then look around the markets that were set up close by. The water was warm and definitely not refreshing. It wasn't clear either.
We got yelled at by boat operators to go in more shallow when all we wanted to do was have a swim. (Not something they would be used too).

There are 100's of food stalls and 100's of market sellers. It is set up for locals and the prices for everything was the cheapest we had seen on our trip in Malaysia. If you can, its worth saving your souvenier shopping until you get there. (1/2 of what you can even barter for in Petaling Street). At one stall, I actually paid more than what they were asking for. The other thing that we noticed was most items had prices on them.

At no stage through walking the markets were we hassled to buy. It was a very pleasant experience as far as shopping in Asia is concerned.

We spent about 2 hours total, but think if beach conditions were better we would have stayed longer.

I live in Teluk (sometimes spelt Telok) Kemang. It is eight miles south of the main Port Dickson Town. Telok Kemang means 'Kemang Bay' in Malay, iIt has one of the nicest beaches which has been re-sanded in the last couple of years and kept clean and tidy. The water is very clean and the local authorities work hard to keep it that way. There are water sports like banana boating available on the beach and jet skiing at some of the Hotels. The mix of accommodation is designed for all budgets.

Telok Kemang beach is set on 'eighth mile road' south of PD. We came for a holiday eight years ago and bought a house here later that year!! The residential housing is set back from the beach on the other side of the main coast road. Very popular with Malaysian Tourists especially at weekends and Public Holidays as it is less than two hours drive to KL. Telok Kemang has a central public area with a promenade, lots of parking and beach shops and a large stage for public entertainments which go on several weekends a year. I have taken lots of photographs attached and hope you find they are helpful. Nice place to visit and great for a beach holiday. Thank you for reading.

Used to come here last few years but my visit today found this place so dirty, lots of flies, rude locals serving food... but for some reason still crowded with locals but with no tourist in sight. Not so much shady trees already but the beach is lined with ugly square canopies for people to rent.

I would strongly suggest the local authority do something on the cleanliness and the outlay of the hawker centers, canopies and other facilities or wouldn't recommend any of my tourist friends here. Please do something about it...or its gonna be a waste of beautiful places in Malaysia.

This is a very nice beach with plenty of food stalls and beautiful brown sand. It was refurbished recently. Limited parking space. The beach is clean. Busy during the weekends.

the place is very popular if you love and enjoy the sand, the beach and the sea. take a walk on the white sandy beach and jump into the sea to cool off the heat from the blazing... what more could you want on your vacation?
