Enjoy the walk of around 1km from the car park and see magnificent views at the end. Great for families with young children. Take a water bottle and some snacks to enjoy the view at the end. Not sure why people keep going over or around the railings at the end view to get photos on the rock faces -... More

The pictures that many visitors take sitting or standing on the edge of the rock is off limit. We arrived in the evening and managed to catch the setting sun. It made the view of the plain spectacular.

This place is just like the advertisements totally awesome. Easy drive to Reid's lookout and easy short walk to the balconies. You can't walk on to the balcony any longer because they've fenced it off but you can get a good photo from the lookout. And then you can create collage on Instragram and join the two pics together... voila

It was an awe-inspiring as well as educational. The fact this place is part of Australia's Aboriginal myths, and standing right into it is simply an amazing experience.

We thouroughly enjoyed walking to this viewpoint with our family. Even the pushchair with a 10 month old child made it along with 2 grannies, a grandad and his parents. Unfortunately the view was spoiled by an idiot girl sitting on a rocky outcrop despite the extensive warings at the site. Not amuswed!!! Beatiful views all round.

It is a flat walk to the balconies from the car park. But longer than you realise. At the end the scenery is worth every bit. Come at sunset especially in the summer and it is stunning.

A pretty little 1km walk from the Reed Lookout carpark will lead you to The Balconies. Make sure you check it out because the views from here are absolutely stunning! There are two lookout points here and the view is worth every step you take to get there! A must visit if you're in the Grampians!

An easy 2 km round walk along a well defined path to a spectacular view. (If it wasn't for the 30 degree heat and the flies, I would have enjoyed every step of the way.) The Balconies is an unusual rock formation next to a fantastic lookout spot. You aren't supposed to go onto the Balconies itself anymore - plenty... More

Having been to the Boroka Lookout this is very similar but looking the other way. There is a boardwalk and path out to The Balconies viewpoint. It's supposed to be wheelchair friendly: well I wouldn't want to push one all that way.

Nice and easy return walk and very rewarding! Make sure you go at sunset! absolutely gorgeous view and worth the walk! Shame other tourists can't seem to read the sign and decided to sit on the rocks themselves when it clearly says no access. Lots of litter on the track because people seem to find it difficult to read the... More
