It was very windy so perhaps that affects my overall impression of the reserve. I was disturbed by the amount of litter including glass bottles and shards, along the lagoon. There were local fisherman spearfishing on the reef which I found off. Day visitors came to the lagoon every day playing loud music and drinking excessively and littering. One person came with their dog and let it run around freely along the estuary. I feel there is inadequate control of what people get up to in the reserve. No ablutions.

What a lovely rustic camp hot water clean ablutions beautiful campsites among trees . If you are a birder it’s paradise an easy walk to the beach . The camp is run by the community so you’re also supporting the locals .

Kosi Bay is one of SA's hidden gems. Still, after all these years, it hasn't been developed and offers a unique African experience. Be aware:
1. You must budget to hire a boat to get on the lake.
2. Its incredibly hot from December to February.
3. There are lots of Mozzies and its a malaria area - Be prepared.

We spent one night camping in Kosi Bay. It cost 100 per person per night. The campsites were very nice, each block came with a tap, and a braai area. The ablutions were extremely well kept and there were power points inside. There was hot and cold water. The camp was located on a lake and you could walk right down to the water. We had a lovely stay and would recommend the camp to anyone.

We went on the Kosi Bay Casitas Boat tour, Beautiful relaxing cruise and the snorkelling in the channels was incredible and a first for me (normally in the sea)

Bring your own boat, hire a charter with your won skippers license, or take a guided boat tour from lake three, through the stunning clear channel to lake two and then onto lake one, all while viewing the spectacular wildlife, birdlife, aquatic life, lakes, vegetated dunes and other people boating, fishing, touring, or otherwise using the lake system. A true bush experience, come for adventure and for relaxation!

What a place! Take photos, leave only footprints. When at a Place like this, Explain to children what nature conservation is and what good behaviour is. Not a public playground
