Our trip to Normandy focused on German bunker fortifications along the Atlantic wall in the Normandy area. This is one of the best we have seen with everything in tact and many displays inside.

This is a private museum so there are no discounts unlike some of the others, so it’s on the pricey side. It’s pretty big and intact though, so an interesting place. The broken pillbox and gun at the end are impressive.

This German bunker complex is very well displayed and provides a glimpse into the vastness of the defenses spread across the Normandy beaches. They have done a great job maintaining the bunkers and expanding on the visitor experience. This was a highlight of the Normandy...More

Incredible mass of concrete, you can see semi-collapsed battery equipped with preserved gun. Also there is a very nice museum describing the history of the battery. Text guide is available in English language. Visited in 9/2012
