Went this afternoon. Very crowded and no possibility of snorkelling, the visibility was awful. Sea was full of huge patches of seaweed. Nice soft sand though. We gave up and walked to somewhere near Le Meridien. Beach was lovely.

Thong Takhian Beach is lovely, although worth checking early in the morning as it gets very crowded! There are much less crowded beaches on the island, but worth checking none the less.
