Stunning beach, bring water shoes if swimming as its a stony beach. Handy carparking right down the hill on a safe small road (not too steep & room to turn at the bottom), then easy steps down to the beach. Not good for wheelchair access. Nice place so sit for some peaceful contemplation listening to the water gushing through the stones.

Playa del Silencio offers some very beautifull views of the rough coast line of Asturias. On top of the cliffs there is a paid parking run by locals (€2). You can take the car further down, but it will be increasingly hard to park the car and you can't take your car all the way to the beach.

You can decent to the beach by stairs. Seeing some of the older reviews, these were not there before. Its fairly easy to decent and climb on the end of the day unless it's hard for you to walk.

The beach itself is beautiful, but rocky. Be sure to take watershoes, you'll need them. We did some snorkling as well, but because of the current the water was not very clear. So it's not the best place for snorkling.

It's still worth a visit, simply because it's beautiful over there, but maybe not as silent as the name suggests.

We left the car at the parking at the cost of 1 euro and walked to the beach. It's about 5 to 10 minutes walk through a country road and at the end it has some stairs to get to the beach. The beach itself is hard to get to and not practical for families with young children or people with mobility issues. However, the views are amazing and makes the visit definitely worth it.

We were told to visit this beach when we were in Oviedo. It was a bit difficult to find, but once we got there we realized that it was worth the trip! The only inconvenience is that you have to park away from the beach (about a 10-15 min, walk) and then you have to carefully go down steps to get to the "little" beach. We wondered why it was called "silence beach" and soon
found out why: it is located in a cove which is protected from wind and waves...so there is a "quietness" that is unreal, when comparing the beach to others in Asturias or Cantabria. It seemed more like a Mediterranean beach! Beautiful views! Highly recommended.

This is a must if youre on the area! Its perfect for spending a quiet afternoon with the soothing sound of the sea hiting the stones.
Be aware its a 10 min walk downhill and then back, it's quite steep but the staircases are in good shape.
Note: dont stress yourself with the very narrow path you have to follow by car, keep going and you'll make it to the street again, no need of going all that way backwards.

We read about this spot on TA and spent an hour there on our way to our hotel in Cudillero. The coastal scenic views are absolutely spectacular. Well worth the short detour off the motorway. You follow a one way road and park once you see the no entry sign on the down track. The road then continues back up to the village again. It’s not a long walk down to the lookout or the beach.

Rocky beach that requires a bit of steep hiking up and down. But it's totally worth it. We didn't pay for parking, there was no indication for payment. The sea was very wavy that day but it was still swimmable. Enjoyed a lot. If you go in September (or out of season) it feels like you reserve the whole beach for yourself. You won't be able to stop taking pics...

Tip: don't park in the parking area if you don't like walking. A few hundred meters down the road there is free parking to put your car. Nice view but rocky beach and with shadow until 12:30 approx in the morning.

I cannot begin to describe my experience here. My partner and I headed to Playa del Silencio about 8pm, to be able to have some time exploring before settling back up on the hill to watch the sunset. Maybe we were lucky, but we were the only ones on this tranquil beach and we couldnt have been more happy. I must say, I am a bit of a beach snob, but this is just incredible!!!! I will cherish visiting this place for the rest of my life, and as we saw the colour of the sky changing, it was one of the greatest moments of my life. A must visit!

A very narrow side street in the tiny village became even more narrow with a build up of cars in the bushlands and cliffs over this beautiful drop into the sea. Good luck if you want to get down there! Stunning but impossible!
