Busy campground

Get in early as this is a popular campground and the only public campground for a long ways. Lots of trees so can be chilly. Great beach and bbq areas.

Tented here as a family and had a great time! Large, private, wooded sites. Flush toilets and showers (free, lots of hot water). The beach was great, although rocky. Lots of trails to explore as well as a fun playground for the kids. A lot of amenities close by, grocery store, drug store, laundry mat, restaurants etc. Very popular campsite... More

Large campground, wooded sites, and a big day use area. Easy beach access as well. Sites are large and fairly private, and overall the place is pretty quiet and secluded. The beach is rocks, so be aware. Food and firewood is also available in town if needed. Check the recycle depot for firewood.

One of, if not, the nicest larger provincial campsites in B.C. Best times are late spring or early summer as the forest is so fresh and green. Quiet also. Private, clean campsites.

Nice park, well paved throughout and good campground. We had been told there was good hiking in the park, but found the trails to be pretty basic (most of the trail is along the park fence with barbed wire, giving it a bit of a prison feel). Nice swimming to be had, but poor access to water sports and no... More

Large sites, large trees, space between neighbors, super valu grocery store close by, rocky beach, playground, laundry mat nearby, also store at campground, learn to fish program on select days for kids 5-15 years, free showers. This is a busy campground and you need to book far in advance. I'd have to say showers were average as far as clean... More

This is a nice park with short trails along the beach. Many treed picnic tables by the lake. Nice views of surrounding mountains and Copper island. Beach is sunny in the morning and early afternoon. Shady by dinner. Water is swimmable. Lots of boat activity beyond the ropes. Good quality dog beach by boat launch. The campground is decently treed... More

Love this campground and have been coming here for over 30 years. Busy all summer but worth the reservation craziness to get a spot!

Gravel beach with not much sand. We met up with some relatives staying in the campground and one of their kids had got swimmer's itch. The beach was very busy. We didn't stay long as we prefer quieter, more private spots. This is a good location if you like very busy and popular beaches.

My family and friends had a wonderful time camping at this location. The water is nice and warm. Not too cold. There is a side where dogs are permitted and you are able to swim with your puppy. Very relaxing. Little to no mosquitoes. Campsites are privately set up. They're not overcrowded. You are able to get lots of privacy.... More
