Marble Hill Strand is the closest beach to Dunfanaghy & is surrounded by lovely wooded countryside. It's family friendly & has easy access. The fine golden sands are typical of the superb beaches all across Co. Donegal.

This is a fabulous beach with soft golden sand. While staying nearby recently I walked this beach each morning before breakfast. Such an envigorating start to the day.

My daughter and husband went surfing there and I stayed for the 2 hours. Stunning beach. Busy enough as it is used by the surf schools, but the beach is big enough to easily absorb all the people. Stunning sand and good waves for beginners. Small beach coffee shop defo helped! A hidden gem.

Beautiful beach with glorious views across Donegal on a sunny day in August. Road can get a little busy with parked cars so come early!

This blue flag beach is 10 minutes from Killahoey strand/Dunfanaghy beach which we also checked out on the same day. You park along the road and it was very busy. I didn't see a proper carpark but maybe we missed it as it was our first time here. There is a shack that sells coffee and ice creams which we didn't join the queue of. There are public toilets which we passed enroute to the beach which we didn't use either. We spent an hour here but easily could have spent longer. It was quite windy on the day but you could shelter with the aid of the rocks. The beach looked wheelchair accessible at one point to me which is great. Would highly recommend and will return one day๐Ÿคž
