We bought a cute stuffed souvenir, prices were reasonable and service was great. We didn't spend too much time browsing since the item in the window caught our eye.

Wonderful!

We stopped in one day when we were just out driving around and happened to see the shop. My sister in Kansas City is a quilter and I have such admiration for the work that goes into these items. I found the prices reasonable for hand made quilts and a nice selection of other items as well. I bought fat quarters for my sister and a couple of pillow covers. The woman running the shop was great to visit with as well!

Overpriced

Not much else to say than Wow it’s overpriced here! $345 for a 40” round tablecloth. $28 for a quilted placemat. Thanks but no thanks. Seems like they wish to take advantage of tourists willing to spend anything for a Hawaiian quilted item.

A wonderful shop to browse and find unique "treasures."

This is a very lovely small shop, with beautiful items to see and admire. So many gorgeous fabric colors, that have been sewn into many useful gifts. Loved the variety of Hawaiian motifs sews on these products. Found a few items for myself, and other gifts for friends back home.

Enjoyed a no-pressure shopping time here. There are so many items to see, whether on shelves or up on the walls. It took me a few "laps around" to see everything. The staff there were so very friendly, and took the time to explain to me a sewing project they were working on.

This is a truly beautiful shop inside! Enjoy~

Traditional Designs and Colors

Beautiful Hawaiian quilts in varying prices and designs. From pot holders to king sized quilts, the variety is astounding. It would be nice if they offered patterns or kits to complete at home, but the quilts are quite beautiful.

This is a very nice shop unique to South Kohala. There are stunning examples of traditional designs and quilts for sale. Always an aloha smile.

Great Hawaiian hand quilting class
Jul 2014 • Couples
They offer a weekly Hawaiian quilting class, led by Eloisa, who is fantastic. The class is currently on Mondays from 10-noon, and you need to make reservations by the evening beforehand. Cost is $50, which includes a $35 package of materials. You get to pick your color and pattern, depending on your skill level. Eloisa provides narrative of how to begin a Hawaiian quilt and provides lots of interesting detail of why Hawaiian quilts are made a certain way or have that special look. She got me started and was a great guide. I have some sewing experience but have never hand quilted before. She was very patient and steered me back on track when my stitches started going a little awry. She was very kind and patient. I'd definitely recommend this class - it's a neat experience that you can't find anywhere else.

Do not miss a Hawaiian Quilt class with Eloisa at Hawaiian Quilt Collection Store!

Lovely store at Queen's Marketplace, Waikoloa Beach Resort, Big Island, where they sell unique, mostly handmade items featuring Hawaiian Quilt. There are all sorts and sizes of colorful bedspreads, purses and smaller items that I had not seen elsewhere. Intrigued, I signed-up for a 1 hour week class of Hawaiian Quilting although not quite sure what to expect since my sewing talents are basic. The results were beyond my expectations. I found the the teacher, Eloisa Chilla to be clear in her instructions, patient with each one of the 6 participants & delightful in her enthusiasm and love of the craft. Eloisa is one of a rare breed of teachers that doesn't hold back & is eager to teach all she knows. Back home, I continue to work with my project, which I find not only rewarding but a great way to de-stress. And... it reminds me of Hawaii!
