Description:

Welcome aboard Winona, our 50-foot, Polynesian style sailing catamaran!...

Welcome aboard Winona, our 50-foot, Polynesian style sailing catamaran! Winona is U.S.C.G. Certified for a maximum of 49 passengers, with plenty of room to comfortably accommodate large groups while still being cozy enough for smaller, intimate gatherings.

She has a 3/4 covered cabin area to protect you from the sun and wind, and her large viewing windows allow you to still enjoy the views outside from her covered seating area. Her open deck is spacious and provides plenty of outside seating and areas to sunbathe. Winona's "Stairway to the Sea" allows easy access to and from the ocean for snorkelers and swimmers. She is equipped with two restrooms for your convenience.

The dress code on Winona is casual to resort attire. We suggest flat, soft-soled shoes or sandals. Hard sole or high heel shoes are not recommended. Winona does have nonskid decking so bare feet are welcome. We recommend you bring along sunglasses, a hat or visor, waterproof sunscreen and a beach cover up to help protect you from the sun. Towels are provided.

Our helpful staff will provide instructions and then equip you with all you need for a spectacular snorkeling experience! Mask, Fins and Snorkel sets or View Boards with built in windows are available to start your adventure. We offer everyone a safety vest and defogger to help keep your experience both safe and fun!

If you would like a special keepsake of your group's event, let us know. We can arrange professional video services (above and below the surface) for your group at an additional cost.

For individual travelers staying on the Resort's grounds, the hotels provide free shuttle service to and from our departure and arrival locations.

Our Captains and Crew look forward to assisting you in creating wonderful memories of your stay in Hawaii!

Aloha!

This is a great dive team. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. The divemaster (Steve) interacted with all the divers and made sure everyone had a fun memorable experience. The captain (Spike) and crew (Sage) were helpful, upbeat, and knowledgeable. The Kohala Coast has fantastic underwater scenery, so it's easy to see all kinds of sea life. We saw lots... More

My husband and I recently visited Hawaii for our honeymoon in June 2016. We stayed at Mauni Lani resort and did the sunset sail and the snorkling trip. The crew was very friendly during both of our excursions, I would definitely recommend doing this when visiting Hawaii. The lady at the boat house was very sweet as well. We had... More

First rate! Exclusive small harbor and genuine Aloha spirit combined with friendly knowledgable staff. Recommend for solo diver, partner, family or intro scuba for adults or kids. Skip KONA and chill here.

Went on the Fairwind along with 110 other people...snorkeld at Kealakekua Bay...the trip was fine, snorkeling fine...crowded though with occasional fins in face, and the hosts fine. Two days later took the Winona from Mauna Lani Sea Adventures (less expensive than the Fairwind afternoon trip for our family of 4) out with 18 other people and staff and had the... More

I came in as a referral to finish my certification, and they were so kind, patient and encouraging. I can't imagine a better certification experience. Chris and Gary were so good at finding sea life... I had an octopus sitting on my arm, I was staring straight into a spiny puffer fish all puffed up, saw all kinds of fish... More

We did a one tank dive with Chris and Captain Don. I wish we would have done more. Super friendly. Very helpful!! Loved our diving adventure. Saw an octopus squirt ink, a helmet shell eating a sea urchin and three moray eels. You will not regret booking with this great company!! I'm ready to go back.

My husband and I have been diving with Mauna Lani Sea Adventures for many years...in fact both of us were certified by Steve. Each dive is different even if we are visiting familiar spots. They are not only experts in the safety and technical aspects but really are very knowledgable about the the beautiful sea life we encounter each time.... More

My daughters and myself are big fans of this team. Gary, Steve, Spike, Chris and Debbie do an excellent job. The entire experience is effort free from sign in to completion of the dive... truly a great end to end experience. They offer all levels of diving to meet anyone's needs. They also have excellent knowledge of the local marine... More
