Welcome aboard Winona, our 50-foot, Polynesian style sailing catamaran!...

Welcome aboard Winona, our 50-foot, Polynesian style sailing catamaran! Winona is U.S.C.G. Certified for a maximum of 49 passengers, with plenty of room to comfortably accommodate large groups while still being cozy enough for smaller, intimate gatherings.

She has a 3/4 covered cabin area to protect you from the sun and wind, and her large viewing windows allow you to still enjoy the views outside from her covered seating area. Her open deck is spacious and provides plenty of outside seating and areas to sunbathe. Winona's "Stairway to the Sea" allows easy access to and from the ocean for snorkelers and swimmers. She is equipped with two restrooms for your convenience.

The dress code on Winona is casual to resort attire. We suggest flat, soft-soled shoes or sandals. Hard sole or high heel shoes are not recommended. Winona does have nonskid decking so bare feet are welcome. We recommend you bring along sunglasses, a hat or visor, waterproof sunscreen and a beach cover up to help protect you from the sun. Towels are provided.

Our helpful staff will provide instructions and then equip you with all you need for a spectacular snorkeling experience! Mask, Fins and Snorkel sets or View Boards with built in windows are available to start your adventure. We offer everyone a safety vest and defogger to help keep your experience both safe and fun!

If you would like a special keepsake of your group's event, let us know. We can arrange professional video services (above and below the surface) for your group at an additional cost.

For individual travelers staying on the Resort's grounds, the hotels provide free shuttle service to and from our departure and arrival locations.

Our Captains and Crew look forward to assisting you in creating wonderful memories of your stay in Hawaii!

I'm a certified diver, but my wife never tried it and was nervous about scuba. She spoke to Mauna Lani Sea Adventures and they described what they do. She took their scuba Intro Class with Steve. After on land review of basic skills, Steve took her into shallow water to practice. When she felt comfortable, they went out into 20... More

Great guys, great boat, great sea adventure. We went with them twice, for a whale watch and off boat snorkel trip and both trips were as good as it gets. On the whale trip a humpback whale breached/leapt right out of the water by our boat. We saw many other whales too. Loved it!

We have been doing the sunset cruise with Mauna Lani Sea Aventures for almost 20 years. The staff is great, with Captain Don a constant through the years. They are professional, fun, informative, and engaging. We learn something new each year, and enjoy seeing whales and sea life, while enjoying the Hawaiian sunset. This group knows how to make your... Here in a family vacation and did two dives with this shop. They were great and if I'm ever back in Kona, I would dive with these folks again. Gary was our guide and was really great. He was knowledgeable on the animals we saw and about the dive sites. I felt very comfortable following him through lava tubes and... More

I have been diving with this outfit for a decade. They have been the best outfit to dive with by far. The dive instructors (Steve, Gary & Spike) are top notch. The staff (Debbie, Kawika, Kelly & Sean, as well as many others) are very courteous & professional. I have referred Mauna Lani Sea Adventures to all who I know... More

Recently returned from the Big Island after a great vacation. One of the highlights was our experience with Mauna Lani Sea Adventures Snorkel excursion. Our first trip was so good we returned two days later to do it again. Second trip we were lucky enough to experience the first whale sighting of the season. As other reviewers have noted these... I have dived with Mauna Lani Sea adventures at least 7 times. i have also logged well over 300 dives. Everyone is very knowledgeable and very low key but there are no short cuts when it comes to safety. The equipment is excellent so it is truly not necessary to bring any equipment with you if you desire. Gary is... More
