Great experience, very friendly owners, a lot of fun!

We had a great experience! We booked the longest trip of 16km from Alle to Bohan and we would definitely recommend the activity. From the moment we booked, we received a lot of clear information of what to bring, where to go, etc. When we arrived, the owners welcomed us in a very friendly way, giving us all the info you need about the trip (explained in perfect dutch or english as you prefer). The material was good and we enjoyed our time on the beautiful river! When we arrived at the end, the owner was waiting for us to bring us back to the starting point. There was even the possibility to use the changing rooms and we even stayed a bit longer for a nice refreshing beer. Everything was well organised and we had a wonderful experience, definitely the place to be if you want to kayak on the semois!

Kayak La Vanne makes a weekend getaway unforgetable

This was my first time kayakking as a couple and we enjoyed the experience. The nature and area is serene and beatiful. I highly recommend Kayaks La Vanne because of their proper communication towards their customers, their friendliness and must important of all: their knowledge of the area.

Very friendly service; beautiful scenery; great day.

Very friendly service by a family-run business. You are allowed all the time you want to go down the river through beautiful scenery. We did the longest descent of 17 km and it is a leisurely descent that does not require any level of fitness. A great day out. Would love to do it again, and again.

The stretch Poupehan-Alle is often doable even at times when the Semois river has a lowish water-level. In rather dry periods (alas very often these last few years in this part of Europe) this is the one to try on the Semois rather than the other stretches more upstream. Doing it with "Kayaks La Vanne" is ideal because you pay and leave you car at the end point. You get shuttled to the starting point so when you arrive you can immediately go home without waisting time waiting for a shuttle.

Hi Jack, Thank you for the nice review and thanks for pointing these things out. We indeed have the option to be driven upstream to kayak the Poupehan-Alle traject (12km). Other parcours start from Alle up to 7, 12 and 20km. For which we pick you up after completing the distance. The low water level is giving us some concerns and damaged kayaks, but you were also right stating the Semois will always be latest to close, and best for kayaking during dry periods. ;) Kind regards, Jonathan Kayaks La Vanne

Excellent service in a beautiful setting

Family operated business, very friendly people. Good equipment and punctual service. We did the 7km route, started at 4pm, enjoying the scene for 2.5 hours while the sun was changing slowly its color. Enjoy!

Excellent day on the beautiful Semois river. Not packed at all. Very warm welcome by the members of this family ran busines who gave us handy tips on the region and ensured a wonderful overall kayak experience, with a nice family touch.

Very friendly, family run business. A very relaxing and peaceful day on the river. (although the river was quite low and were grounded a few times!!)

Very good experiance. The people are very nice, speaking flemish and french. Very kind and explain everything well. There are 3 options, whatever you want. Take your time and enough canoes. Beautifull place. Definitly have to do this!

We had to wait 1 hour and 15 minutes for the taxi back and had to call several times. My children where hungry. Finally they came and get us.

Hello Eva, Thank you for your feedback. We apologize for the inconvenience you experienced with the pick-up service. We would like to clarify what happened. Our driver came to pick you up once and found four people at the location. Your husband mentioned that you were going to have a drink in the village. We returned a second time later, but there was no one by the river. As our days are very busy, we had to leave to pick up other customers to ensure minimal waiting times for everyone. When you called again, informing us that you were waiting, we promptly came to pick you up. Unfortunately, it is not feasible for us to search for our customers in the village cafés. We understand your frustration and are sorry for any inconvenience this caused. We always strive to provide the best service possible and appreciate your understanding of the situation. Toen u ons later belde om te zeggen dat u aan het wachten was, zijn we direct gekomen om u op te halen. Helaas is het voor ons niet haalbaar om onze klanten in de dorpscafés te zoeken.
