Our son is a distiller so we try to stop at local distilleries when we are traveling. Caldera's whiskey was good... not great. But their tasting room is charming and their employees were very personable and extremely knowledgeable...it was a pleasure to visit them.

We were touring the Tatamagouche area, saw the sign for this distillery, made a turn off of the main drag and there we were, enjoying one of the nicest Canadian whiskies I had tried in awhile. It's a pretty unassuming place as you drive in,...More

Awesome whiskey in River John. Not a whiskey drinker but enjoy this with ginger beer and lemonade. Easy to find off the main road.

Not far off the highway lives this distillery with its big tastes and smooth finishes. Whiskey is what they do, and even this non-whiskey drinker was impressed. Bought bottles for gifts and one to bring home for the bar.

Some friends and I stopped by here while visiting the area and were surprised by what we found. It's a dirt driveway off a rural road, but there was a small sign. We drove by the entrance the first time. It doesn't look like much...More

On a cool, slightly rainy, morning, my husband and I stopped in for a tasting. The tasting room is very interesting and the guy there tells you the story of the locals hiding out in that barn from a hurricane. We were the only ones...More

Happy we stopped here on our way to Tatamagouche. Small operation in a vintage barn with friendly staff and had some tastings. They also had a cocktail available so we got a couple and sat in the patio area. Got a couple of bottles to...More
