Little church close to Gormaz Castle
Jun 2019 • Friends
Ermita de San Miguel de Gormaz is a little church located close to Gormaz, a little town in Soria Region, in Spain. Also it is near the Gormaz Castle, a very big and wonderful fortress of the Middle Ages. The little church was built at the end of 11th Century in a Romanesque-style. Really it is very beautiful and from here you can see great views of Gormaz Castle, the most important point in the place.

Worth the stop
Mar 2016 • Friends
Before you head to the fortress of Gormaz, make sure you stop by this small chapel. The entrance fee is at €1.5 per person. It does not only grant you acess to the hermitage but also includes an explanation about the historical site by a guide. There is also a short documentary to be viewed once inside. The frescoes are well preserved and make the place unique. It's also worth seeing outside, one of the building blocks which holds Arabic calligraphy saying "God is Great".

Well worth a visit if you go to the castle
Sep 2014 • Couples
On the right of the road as you snake up towards the castle above. Impressive frescos and a slide presentation that gives you some of the local history. Lots of fighting between moors and Christians. A sunken bath to baptise converted moors. So much history.
