Took a one day leather workshop with Abenk and Fanny and it totally surpassed my expectations! They were so patient while showing us what to do (or correcting our mistakes!) before letting us loose to try it ourselves! They totally made us feel like home, offering tea, coffee and water all the time and having cool music on the background! The whole day went by without realizing it because we were so immersed and having so much fun! It felt great to see the final product that we created after a full day's work! If you want to learn something different and have fun crafting it along the way in a chill uber cool atmosphere surrounded by Nature, then this workshop is a must! Can't wait to come back for a 2 or 3-day workshop!

The workshop was amazing! I enjoyed so much working with Abenk. The atmosphere at the place is really nice and you can make basically whatever you want depending on your time. You never feel like you have to hurry up and you finish once you are done. Also, if you need some travel advise, the instructor is happy to help you out. Overall, it was even better than I expected and I am very happy with the result.
Thank you so much, Kaula Team!

What a wonderful day in Kaula Leather Workshop. Our coach Abenk & Dofi lead us to make our handicraft. I made a coin purse, and Fangfang made a bag belt. Both of us are satisfied with our product. The most important...it’s not expensive!!! We will visit here next time. Coz it’s so good and worth it.

Kaula Leather is the best place to learn how to make bag, wallet, or anything you want from leather.

Abenk is a great teacher, he is easy going and so patient when taught me. Before I went there, I thought I would not be able to make anything.

But turned out, I successfully made a passport wallet from scratch!

Thank you, Mas Abenk! I really love to come again for intensive workshop..

My husband and I went for a one day course and the place is located in a tranquil place with a scenic view. Taufik was our instructor and he really patient with us. The workshop was very fun as it allowed us to custom make our own design. The hands-on experience allow us to understand more about handmade leather products and the best part is we could make our very own unique pouches. I highly recommend travellers to stop by and attend this workshop as it is a totally different experience!

I went for 6 days intensive workshop. I took the idea from internet and Mas Abenk and Opik helped me a lot from sketching, leather cutting, painting, drying. and stitching. Both of them explain clearly, patience, and let me made what i want. In the end of the workshop i successfully produced a big backpack and wallet. Really proud of it!

Not to mention, the place is cozy and surrounded by rice field. Enjoy the music and coffee or tea. Recommend for people who have interest in leather to do the 6 days intensive workshop, because 1 day really won't be enough.

Had a great day at Kaula! Abenk and his nephew are so skilled and talented. A great way to learn about the art of leather crafting and take home a beautiful selfmade souvenir! I would recommend everybody visiting Yogya to visit Kaula!

This was an experience to cherish. So good, in fact we went back for one more session. First day, my wife and daughter made a book cover, ear rings, bracelet and a necklace. My turn was next and I made a phone pouch while my daughter made another book cover for me. Abenk and Taufeeq are deeply involved in training the learners and its a true privilege to experience this craft under them.

Kaula leather was recommed in my hostel and from a friend. Abenk and Opik are the best! In 1,5 day I made a super nice leather bag. Designed by myself with a little help from the guys it became exactly what I had in mind and more! The guys are so nice and very skilled at what they do. It's nice to go there with an idea in mind since there are not a lot of samples. I used pinterest for that. Would definitely recommend anyone going there!

I took the 6 days intensive course and would probably say it is one of the best things I have done in my life. Abenk and Opik are great teachers. They are hands on, extremely patient and they are fun and great to work with. It was such a great experience that I would certainly come back again even just for a visit. I would recommend everyone who has passion with leather goods to do the 6days intensive course because you will learn so much more compare to a 1day workshop.

PS: Please book at least a week in advance because they do not take more than 4 pax in a day. (It's not about the money, you see?)
