We visited this attraction by scooter and the road is quite steep so be wary. When we arrived we had to pay for parking as well as entry tickets for ourselves, tickets per person are 7,000IDR and parking is 5000 IDR. The fee is very small and worth it. We loved walking around while taking some great photos and enjoying the great views. The area has many steps and there are a lot of places to get food or drink here. If you want to get to the large hand you will need to pay any extra fee.

We were having half day free and we decide to go there. Lucky weather was good. Itself is a nice place to have a walk and make some pictures. Cost us go and return 150k, 3 hours trip. Not sure it was worthy, but we didn’t have nothing better to do.

A refreshing place to visit after all the usual temples and volcanos,,, this is a pine forest and overlooks the plains of Yogyakarta...on a clear day you can catch a good view of the mountains and towns. Lots of instagram moments and a good place to relax. There is an entrance fee but it's very cheap... one rate only.

Its location is far from the city centre, but definitely worth a visit, especially if you have rental car. Panoramic view and breathtaking at the top of the park. Check out the photos!!

There are a lot photographers offering the service. We love the place the fact that we could have a family photo with a professional camera. It was a fun and memorable moment.

The forest opens at 8am, so if you're going for a photoshoot, perhaps you'd want to inform the owner beforehand. You'll have to pay a small entrance fee to enter. It's really beautiful, and morning shoots mean lesser people! Lots of slenderman feels, though :) If you're looking for a professional photographer there, go to DNA Photo Video, @dnaphotovideo. These were taken with an iPhone 11. Did our actual shoot at Taman Sari.

Don’t missed this recommended spot when you came to Yogya. This forest is only 30 minutes from city. I suggest you came in the night so you will get the view of the light of city. However you need some patience for queuing to take a picture by local photographers. They give us 3-5 style per photo session and charges IDR4.000/photo what we chosen.
This forest is not too high for climb and many good spot to take pictures.

Came here to see the sunset. The pine forest sculptures were great for Instagram pictures but the view of the sunset was absolutely gorgeous.

Nice place. Only thing is at night there is a long queue for the photographer to take picture which you will need to pay for RP4000 per photo.

Famous for their sculptures and beautiful photos at instagram. It is only hills full of pine threes. Was planted for their pine juice or liquid before and now getting popular not only by domestic tourist but also among international tourist. Suggested to spend at least 1 or 2 hours here for great pictures. Incredibly place to enjoy great photos and wedding pictures can be very beautiful to take here. Facilities and convenience place such as food stalls, praying house and public toilet ready. Was busy in weekend evening among youngsters and local tourist. No entrance fees but parking to pay. be there and experience how wonderful this place can be...

Is this accessible via grab/gojek?
Written March 13, 2019
Hi, I think you can access it by gojek/grab only for one way through. It's difficult to find gojek/grab for way back home.
I suggest you to hire Private Tour, and the reccomended one is Mr. Edu from Java Private Tour. You can find him on Google or Tripadvisor as well.

what's the operating hour? open at night?
Written March 7, 2019
In the early morning, it is windy and chilly. There are many colored twinkle bulbs swinging between trees at night, perhaps good for photo shooting. But for me, with poor eyesight, I prefer to go there after 3 p.m., you can easily find your way even stepping on stony paths.

The route you mentioned is the same as the one I took some time ago when I visited Yogyakarta, my suggestion is better to use the services of the Java Private Tour, because Java Private Tour has a guest house close to these locations and the Java Private Tour also provides services rent a car as well as a driver as a tour guide, even scooter and bicycle rental they also provide, you try to check on google, I was greatly helped by Java Private Tour when visiting Yogyakarta.

Hi, is this place and the views accessible by wheelchair? I'm bringing my grandmother here which can't walk very far, or else we'll take her in the wheelchair.
Written August 15, 2017
hmmm... i think it's quite tough to bring your mom with a wheelchair here. The footpath is quite rocky and mostly soil... i would not recommend it for you grandma's safety
