About

Clean and well-kept for a ruin. There is also a small museum you can enter for free (but there's a sign that encourages you to give a tip).
Fantastic view, obviously.
You can also buy food and beverages there.
I would totally recommend coming here if you are in the area.
You can also hike from here to Burgruine Madenburg, which is an equally charming ruin (where you can buy food and beverates, too).

It was a visit in January, so not so warm, actually very windy up there. But the view is spectacular. You can also go for walks with your dog. A lot of locals did that

The castle Landeck was built sometimes 1220 to 1237 for the protection of Klingenmunster Monastery. It served under Bishop of Speyer and Count Zweibrucken. After the death of Zweibrucken dynasty the castle was owned by Electors of Kurpfalz. There are great views of South Pfalzwald.

I've visited several castles in Germany and this was one that was near the bottom of the list for me as far as interesting castles are concerned. It's just an old ruin. The only saving grace was the view and the restaurant which serves flatbread (called "flammkuchen" in German). You can take a car up to the castle or you can park it at the bottom of the hill and take a 45 minute trek up the hill.

I said that you need less than an hour for your visit, but I only included the time you need to look at the ruins. If you decide to stay for a bite to eat, you'll need two hours.

I love the view from this ruin - on clear days you have a very good view over the valley of the river rhine. The ruin itself is alright - but there are others nearby I like more.

We stumbled across here whilst on holiday and so glad that we did. It was a lovely place to go and visit. Was not busy at all and very easy to find a parking space.

It was impressive that a burg or fort could be built atop a mountain top. The view from atop the upper most tower was breathe taking. The restaurant within the burg served great sausages and beer. I found the experience more enjoyable by hiking to Landeck rather than driving. However, the trail is not for the faint of heart.
