An oasis of calm and peace amongst a busy, beautiful village. Loved this place and may go back when it is a bit quieter.

This is a small pretty village with an old 12th century church. The church itself is as I imagined a 12th century should look - very little seemed to have been added/altered since it was built. There is a nice walk along the river and...More

A wonderful old village church with very typical sparse furnishings. Cool inside whatever the temperature outside and open for all to visit. The foundations are said to be Roman and the rest has been altered many times over the last few centuries, but it remains...More

We stopped here for a lunch stop on our way to Lascaux IV. Our guide Ben from Ophorus Excursions and Tours gave us several suggestions for lunch. This was such a scenic village with beautiful castles by the river.

A very nice XII century church, surrounded by some beautiful buildings and flowers. The fresco inside is worth seeing and the shape and design of the building are quite different and attractive.

Simple and beautiful. The setting alongside the river was perfect. July was a busy time in Saint Leon-sur-Vzere and the church provided a quiet retreat from the crowds and the heat.

The little cillage is simply lovely. The church is worth a quick visit for roman art lovers. Spend some time walking along the river and in the medieval streets of the place.

Simple, beautiful and peaceful. By the riverside and a (in the summer) busy village. I went in when I heard beautiful music coming from it which I had presumed was an organ but on entering there was one man sitting alone in front of the...More
