About
We are a Padi scuba diving centre, which strives to offer its services to customers, to a very high standard. We offer scuba courses for beginners through to Instructor level and beyond. Guided diving, unaccompanied divers and those who wish to give it a try, are all welcome. Boat diving and night dives are also available to those clients wishing to participate.

We stupidly forgot to pack our snorkel masks the day we visited Gozo, and so popped into Dive Smart to see whether we could hire some.
The lady who we dealt with couldn't have been more helpful, and charged us a very reasonable 3.5 euros per hour. Better still, although we returned them a good few minutes after the hour elapsed, she only charged us for the hour, when she would have been well within her rights to charge for two.
Service like this deserves to be rewarded, and when (not if) we return to Gozo, we will make sure that our son - the diver of the family - does his diving here. And for those of you who are considering diving or snorkelling at San Lawrenz, you're in for an absolute treat! You can walk in straight from the shore, and the conditions are fabulously clear, with unbelievably blue water. The underwater topography is breathtaking - the limestone pinnacles make it appear like you're swimming over a mountain range, and the marine life (both in the shallows and around the drop off) is some of the best we've ever experienced during non-reef snorkelling.
Just a word of advice: Dive Smart is located literally next to the car park that's used by people visiting the Blue Hole. This is an advantage in terms of convenience, but can mean that it's difficult to find parking in busy periods, so perhaps look to park elsewhere and make alternative transport arrangements with a taxi/Uber.

We had the pleasure of diving with Oliver and Janet, who we cannot recommend enough! From start to finish they had us covered, with professional gear and assistance - We had two dives, a pre-dive in Xlendi and a fantastic dive in the Blue hole the following day! It’s cheap, safe and very very ‘hyggeligt’!

I had a few day diving with Oliver. He’s a great patient and pleasant instructor. We dove in the blue hole and the inland sea. Oliver carried my equipment to both locations and accommodated my mobility limitations during the dive. Hanging out with Sandy the dog was a lovely time as well.

I have not dived for a few years and was very unsure if I could still do that. The uncertainty disappeared the moment we went into the water. I felt completely safe with the guide. It was as if I had never been away! Great accompaniment on all dives. We recommend!

I had a couple of dives each day on the last Sunday and Monday.
I dived with Oliver in Mgarr Ix Xini and Ras il Hobz.Everything was very professional and yet very relaxed due to Oliver's attitude and experience.
Besides,the way to the diving sites was very interesting due to the sights and the small talk held during the driving.
Janet was very attentive and warm.Good people that provide an exceptional experience.
Also Sandy the dog as could have been expected was very relaxed and wellcoming.
All in all,a unique place,highly recommended.

First, we are pleased that you enjoyed diving with us. We are sorry that the weather did not live up to expectations over your holiday period, but there is always another good reason to come back and dive Blue Hole!
Some roads and routes to the dive sites are quite interesting and challenging. It is Island life, no-one is in a hurry and things are quite laid back.
We would like to thank you for diving with us and we hope to see you again in the future. The door is always open, you know where we are.

We had three dives with Dive Smart Gozo. The communication and registration at first contact was fast and uncomplicated. The team was very professional and cared about the required safety standards. The dive station was small and very familiar. All rented equipment was perfectly in shape and Oliver was a very relaxed and souvereign dive guide inside and outside the water. It was a pleasure to dive with Dive Smart Gozo.

I had my first diving experience with Janet at Dive Smart. It was a great experience. I strongly recommend this dive school. Janet was a wonderful instructor, very calm and very experienced. I always felt safe with her. Apart from the wonderful dives I so enjoyed driving to the dive sites with her, seeing the Gozo countryside and learning lots about the island and Janet and Olivier’s peripatetic life :-). The whole experience was a pleasure and made the holiday very special. I also loved meeting their beautiful dog Sandy. Thanks Janet and Oliver. 🤗
