The small diving center in Xlendi Bay has been in new hands since the beginning of the year and lives up to the good reputation of the previous owners. Aaron and Marion have cleverly renovated the center themselves and completely re-equipped it. The equipment is of the highest quality and the narrow shop has everything your heart desires, even a small seating area for training purposes. But what is of course much more important is the concept of the center, which consistently distances itself from mass processing and focuses on very individual support. Groups for fun dives are never larger than four people, and when it is not so busy, you can also enjoy individual support for courses and special requests. Aaron and Marion are passionate about what they do and perfectly organized. They also support their guests with concerns that are not directly related to diving. My non-diving companion was also warmly welcomed and both were incredibly helpful when I had a small accident (NOT caused by diving). The most important thing about this diving center is the convincing and uncompromising implementation of the "safety first" principle. No matter how experienced you are and how many dives you have in your logbook, everything is explained in detail, from preparing the equipment to the very precise briefings. Aaron is very good at explaining things and takes time to answer any questions you may have, so that even after completing a course (I did a Nirtrox course) you feel optimally prepared.

The Utina Dive Center in Xlendi Bay is one of the top 4 dive centers on Gozo. Even under the new leadership (or precisely because of it) a very thick recommendation.
I have been coming to Gozo for diving for many years and have seen a lot of dive centers, rarely have I felt as comfortable as with Utina.
I would like to highlight the relaxed, generous almost family atmosphere!
The dives are well planned, the diving is very relaxed and relaxed. The usual time pressure and the hustle and bustle that you sometimes find on other bases, you certainly won't find with Utina.
The small groups of max. 4 guests per guide. You like to take time for the guests, the team is consistently competent, extremely friendly and helpful. There is a very pleasant climate all around, perfect German, French and English are spoken. The base is small and set up for the essentials, but nothing is missing.
The location of the base is almost perfect. 60m from the water, very close to the Xlendi dive site, restaurants and supermarket just around the corner, "the best ice cream on the island" just opposite!
A young dynamic and very personable team awaits you at Utina.
Safety, level diving and pleasant dives are writ large and are not empty words.
If possible and taking into account the weather conditions, the wishes of the guests regarding dive site will be gladly met. It is conveniently driven by pickup truck or boat to the dive site.

Even under new management, Utina is still the best dive centre I have ever experienced and offers everything you can wish for: Great dive instructors, small groups (4 people max), no time limits for the dives, choice of the dive sites according to preferences of the divers, no compromises on safety and a fantastic spirit. Marion and Aaron run the center professionally, but individuality is still very important for them and you can feel a lot of heart and soul. If you dive in Gozo, Utina is definitely the dive centre to choose!

We have been diving with Utina for the last 14 years. Sally and Neil, the previous owners, created a family of divers visiting and repeat visiting them from all around the world. It was their attention to detail, small dive groups, customer service and ‘dive the tank’ policy that kept us returning. I am so pleased to say that the new owners Aaron and Marion have continued Sally and Neil’s legacy and continue providing a very special diving experience. With a new, fresh, look they have also made the business their own and can now cater to French, German and English speakers. It was great to dive with Henry again and also dive with Marion and Aaron too. Thanks for the fun DPV dive on the new wreak MT Hephaestus Aaron! Ian and I will be back.

This was my first time on the island of Gozo and I knew very little about it and the surrounding areas. Utina diving got recommended to me by someone I met during my stay near Mgarr and I was not disappointed. The team were so friendly and, as a fairly new diver, I instantly knew I was in good hands. My dive was led by Marion who I cannot praise enough for her passion towards diving, it made the experience absolutely unforgettable!

I discovered very family diving, Marion immediately puts you in confidence with her smile and her kindness, we feel very quickly well. His companion Aron is just as nice, smiling and very professional. My daughter Clementine did her christening with him. While apprehending this moment, Marion briefed her in a very gentle and calm way. Aron then took her into the water, he immediately reassured her, and when they came out of the water she had the banana and was delighted to have seen octopuses, for a first baptism she was so confident that she did not realize that she had been 11m away. What a beautiful discovery this small family club. By the way I forgot I dived with Henry, someone Ace, smiling and cool, the dives were great. To conclude I highly recommend this club, and I will return without hesitation

Ignore reviews before the beginning of the year - the business is under new management. I was extremely impressed with Aaron and his team. We had excellent and very friendly service and a great dive.
They keep the groups nice and small and the leader was extremely attentive to the divers without being oppressive.
The briefing was thorough, the equipment in extremely good condition and the reception very friendly. I will definitely dive with them again on my next trip to Gozo.

As always a great Diving holiday. This dive school is without doubt the best on the island. Small groups and the focus is on the quality of the dive rather than profit . Our guide even provided underwater pictures and videos . Above and beyond .

Excellent diving instruction from wonderful Pixie and a great small team who gave the time and care to ensure that every part of the open water course I did was understood and completed satisfactorily. I’ve dived before many times some time ago and more recently but wanted to refresh and complete the PADI certification. Sally and Neil who run the place fully understand where you are and what you need to further your skills and being a smaller operation can give the really personal attention that you can’t get from others. It was really great to turn up after sending an email, walk in and meet retuning customers, dive with them and gain some great local knowledge. After all why would they come back! Thanks to you all (and hi to Sophie who I didn’t get to dive with) I will be back as well. Xlendi is great place to base yourself with easy acess to all the other dive sites which the Utina crew will happily take you to. Fantastic.

My girlfriend is really afraid of water, especially going under water, and when we booked a try dive with utina diving college i was worried if we found the right dive center to master her fear. She wanted to do it, but when we arrived she already said i should better do it alone, because she was so scarred.
This all started to change gradually when we stepped into utina diving college.
We were greeted by a super friendly and nice Team, consisting of Sally, Heinrich, Neil and Pixie.
We explained our Situation and my girlfriends fear slowly started to decline.
They were all very comforting and were instantly understanding and caring and helped my girlfriend explain her fear.
It was all around a very relaxing yet at the same time professionell atmosphere.
Neil making a few jokes to lighten the mood, and Sally preparing all the Gear so we could test it before the dive.
I could already tell my girlfriend was feeling much more relaxed but she was stil doubtful wether she could do a dive.
Then we were introduced to Heinrich.
He would do the dive with us and was the best teacher we could have hoped for in our Situation.
If it wasn't for him, i'm certain my girlfriend may have never tried diving again.
Heinrich took the time and listened to the reasons why my girlfriend was afraid.
He tested all the equipment with her and found exactly the right tone and speed in which he explained our diving preparation.
When we went to the diving Site Ras il-Ħobż,
my girlfriend could snorkel until she felt confident to try diving with full Gear.
When we went for the dive he always had a hand on her Oxygentank and regulate her vest so she could only focus on breathing.
The way in which Heinrich prepared the dive we felt was all highly professionell.
And then it happened, my girlfriend managed to dive to 6 Meter and could See all the Fish and Underwaterlife.
We could even spot an octopus who was hiding behind his Rock.
Thank you Utina Diving College and especially Heinrich for this unforgetable and amazing experience.
It was definitly the Highlight of our vacation.
