The walk on the beautiful cliffs is truly exciting for the extraordinary views. On one side the cliffs fall into the sea, on the other the green fields create a very beautiful and evocative whole. The paths run along the edge of the cliffs giving fantastic views.

Lovely little beach . V clear water but lots of rocks and pebbles to negotiate when first getting in water .
There is a fun diving platform for teens and loads of restaurants and gelato places for ice cream and some nice looking restaurants too. You can hire kayaks paddle boards and jet skis too so lots to do !

On vacation in Malta for 10 days in the capital Valletta, we spent a day on the beautiful island of Gozo. Located to the southwest of the latter, Xlendi is a charming little town surrounded by superb cliffs. Marked paths allow you to walk along the edge of the cliffs and have a breathtaking view of the sea. A place to visit without hesitation!! Vero and Rom.

Beautifully clear sea in this sheltered cove. Quite built up hence 4 not 5 stars but as long as you look out to sea it’s a 5! Plenty of places to sit and to dive. Toilets nearby. Restaurant near beach. Great place to spend an afternoon.

The cliffs and caves are nice, however the ugly apartments make the place as ugly as any other area in malta and gozo. Even there restaurant tables everywhere. It used to be a beautiful place a lot of years back, however it sucks now.

What a surprise ! Low key port/village entrance then wow . Loved the way people swam and lazed about in the port area safely behind the ropes away from the boats . Lots of good place to eat and reasonably priced .

Summer has arrived in beautiful Xlendi, but once again NO swimming due to contamination! Horrendous!

We arrived in Xlendi on the public bus (once an hour, 20 minutes from Victoria). We'd not expected much of the village but it was located in a beautiful bay set amongst amazing cliffs. There's a steep roped walkway on the cliff side of the village which leads down to a small cave and inlet, which is worth a diversion. In the tiny harbour there's a boat-hire company that offer boat tours. They do a 30-minute speedboat trip around the main caves in the immediate area which became the highlight of the day. It was off-season in early May when we visited and they gave the two of us a private tour (should be min 4 people at 10 Euros each, but they offered 30 Euros for 2).

Afterwards, we walked the 5 miles from Xlendi to Ta Cenc along the moderate difficulty and generally well marked route. You'd be hard pressed to experience a more scenic and dramatic coastline. Thoroughly recommended.

Xlendi Beach was beautiful and provided great views. What I discovered and had not heard about was after going up the stairs to get to the walkway that leads to the cave, is that there is a path that you can follow upwards all the way to the top of the cliff for an absolutely breath-taking view. It is marked with red arrows and dots, and is not to strenuous. The hardest part is the first 100 meters or so, but after that it is just a manageable incline. Very very highly recommend!

Beautiful natural area spoilt by horrendous architecture and tasteless cementification!
