Nice park, terrible connection if you dont use car.
We came late in the afternoon, and spent there only 2 hours. Scenery is beautiful, it is so nicely re-built. For people with kids i suppose this is a perfect day since the price of 20 euro covers all the "attractions" inside (like water park, animators, baldahin beds etc). Personally it was too much people on the beach for me. Exploring the buildings was so much fun! Not related to the park: Note that getting there via bus is not so easy, we took taxi from Medina for 17 euro, and bus for return to the Cirkewwa was so crowded that bus driver throw us out to wait for another one. Luckly one available Bolt was there and we didnt have to wait probably and hour more on the road. Maybe that could be a good option for the village, to add transfers to the 3 nearest cities (Mdina, Mggar, Cirkewwa) where people can easily get connected to public transport.

    Great for all ages
We visited this sight in late March, the view from the top of the cliff down on to the set is stunning and very photogenic. It costs 12 euros at present, the site is awesome with plenty of quirks and fun and games to be held. They have actors playing Olive Oil, Bluto and of course Popeye. Bluto and Olive were great characters and happily chatted with visitors and posed for photographs. However when my wife spoke with Popeye and asked for a photo, he quite abruptly said "cant now busy" which ruined her visit. There is a mini golf course, and plenty of wooden games to play, and a lovely way to spend a couple of hours. In our opinion Olive is the star of the show, she was friendly and pleasant at all times, and when we were photographing her house , she came running out to offer her services as a model. She really makes the whole experience worthwhile.

    Great place
Didnt know whether to come here but glad we did. Although expensive to enter at €18 an adult and €12.50 a child its a fun filled attraction with plenty to keep both adults and kids entertained. Small swimming pools with slides for the youngsters at the top of the park with beds around. The sea was rough on the day we attended but had fun doing the inflatable obstacle challenge. Food was surprisingly very nice and really good service too. Better than a few very expensive restaurants we ate in elsewhere! We stayed for a very enjoyable 4 or so hours. You cant really walk here as the road has no pavements and is quite busy with vehicles. The 101 bus stops here hourly and a taxi to Mellieha cost us €8 for a party of 6.

Nice place, and some entertainment for the family and kids, but do not expect to spend a full day here. We visited in March and weather was quite bad (rain and wind), so not many people were around. This way we could try out everything and look around quite quickly without the need for waiting.
I can imagine it can get quite crowded during the season.

If you are going and expecting Disneyland or Universal Studios quality then just don’t go. If you are into bizarre and random things, then this is a must. We started our day with the tour, given by Popeye himself. He was entertaining and informative, the tour was about 30 minutes long. Afterwards, my husband and I walked through again to take pictures and look at things at a slower pace. We then shared a pizza that was actually pretty good. Being an American, we found the drinks small but that’s basically been everywhere. Then we changed into our swimsuits and camped out on a daybed. There were plenty of beds to choose from and we brought our own towels. They had a dj playing music from around the world, but it was in a loop so there is room for improvement. I found the bathroom, changing rooms and the park to be tidy and most of the employees were happy to chat.
Note
They have free wifi
We took a Bolt there (Malta’s version of Uber) and back
This place is absolutely NOT disability friendly/ accessible. There’s lots of steep paths, stairs abs uneven ground
As a Disney adult, I was excited to find out the Popeye movie was actually a Disney movie!

Spent a fun few hours here with my wife and daughter (24) who loved it.
We last visited not long after they had finished filming so it was just a disused set so great to see if restored and giving people a lot of pleasure.
The buildings are well restored and the short film about the making of the movie is interesting. The guided tour was well done and the little shows are fun although we decided watching one was enough.
You
Could stand outside and just take pictures but for €12 it’s worth going inside for a fun few hours

Nice place, but for couple it was waste of money. It should be great and acceptable price for families with children, which can spend their whole day, by the sea and a lot of other attraction for children including small theater performance.
Would be great, that will be splitted visitor's area for quick visit for half price and 18€ for whole day. Our visit takes 45 minutes and we were sitting by the see long time.

We came for the 'Easter Special'. It was a lot of money for not very much 'special'! There was not very much for the children to do and the place was quite run down. The puppet show was quite strange and the Easter egg hunt was spoiled by one or two local families who went around and collected all the eggs before the hunt started, leading to lots of disappointed children!

Best thing- the free biscuit- that was tasty. All in all 'average' is a fair word. We have found that Malta is very reasonable and offers great value for money- this was unfortunately not the same.

The Village is great and a special thanks to the animators who shot a hilarious video with us and sent it afterwards (5€). The Cove it sits in is also unexpectedly beautiful and wonderful to swim and snorkel in - take your beach gear!

We were pleasantly surprised at what good value things were here. The entrance cost is very fair and the restaurant was reasonable with pizzas at about 9€ upwards.

Overall, us and the kids loved it.

It’s a shame there isn’t a separate price for the people who just want to visit the village and not spend the day on the beach as 20euros is a bit steep. Talking of steep it is just that but it is a fun place to visit with great views and the helpful people who work there arranged a car to take my husband back up the steep hill. If you don’t have a car the bus stop is on sight and runs regularly.

The location was open during the COVID19 pandemic time in December 2020. The bus 101 from the coastal road goes to the village every one hour and the ride was fast.
The shows and short movies in the village were available yet the big restaurant inside was closed. 11€ for an adult entry with a free postcard and a popcorn till 5pm closure. No one was swimming in December but there were a lot of things to take photos inside. The Christmas Town attraction inside was suited for the Christmas time visit and there was a Santa Clause at the saw mill area with stuffs to take the phots with him.
The entry requires the submission of first name, family name, nationality, phone number, address, number of people together for the data collection. I encountered such in the Napale restaurant in Is-Suq in Valletta when I dined there. So, the Popeye Village was the second location I submitted my information.

I've seen the film and wanted to come here out of interest. It was really disappointing. Everything is falling to bits. It should be closed down and turned into something decent. There is nothing for very young children. If you come in August it's going to be super hot and no shade. I booked tickets in advance and when we joined the "pre booked" line there was a massive group in front of us and it was 37 degrees, no shade and 2 young children waiting in line. The sea has Inflatables but many announcements being made that it was too crowded. No staff down there controlling anything. We could not be bothered to go to the beach. We just briefly waked around and came back out again. The only highlight was the children got to have a photo with Popeye, Olive and Pluto. I would save your money for another activity then come here.

This place is the worst place for kids. The music was so loud we could hardly speek each other. Sometimes they played even two songs at the same time. But this was just the begining. At 2 they starts the "atraction" and tudn the music loader. We had to flee. It's not allowed to smoke, but nobody stops the chain smokers next to you to ruin your day.
