    Very good day out
Lovely day out at Palmitos Park. We went to the 2 bird flying displays - Raptors and Tropical birds. Both displays were excellent. I especially enjoyed the Raptors, such huge birds flying free and so close to us. We went to the Dolphin show - 6 dolphins - great display with a conservation message. The Park is on a hill and involves a lot of walking but the mix of different animals makes it worth the effort. We went by public bus from Playa Del Ingles which was easy and cheap (4.60 return). Buy tickets online 24 hours beforehand to say 2 Euros, and cut the ticket queues.

    Very Nice
This park was an experience. We came here early in the morning so we could see everything that the park has to offer. We looked at every single animal in the park and was amazed that there was so many animals, so it was well worth the price. We used 4 hours in the park. We didnt eat in the park, but we saw the dolphin show and that was very fun and cozy. We recommend to visit this park.

    Phenomenal
Absolutely phenomenal. I went with my husband, 3 year old and 7 month old! Myself and my 3 year old had a photo with a dolphin which was our highlight but the park itself is incredible, lots of animals, interaction, shows, lovely staff, plenty of food and drink options, the dolphin show was smashing. The only downfall is it's VERY steep hills all the way around so was tricky getting the double buggy around.. But we did manage. I would 1000% go back again!

    Great shows
The shows are amazing with the dolphins being the stars. The eagle show being so high up in the mountains is as spectacular. It is very hilly though so be aware of that. It is also quite expensive to enter though the place also does wildlife protection. So, do give it a go !

A place with a very beautiful view. A lot of different birds and animals. You can follow the performance of eagles and the dolphin show. The house of butterflies is very tropical. The aquarium is large andseal a lot of different fish

    Fantastic!
We had a great time here whilst on holiday. My partner and I absolutely loved the birds of prey show. It was fascinating to watch and seeing the eagles in flight was amazing. My daughter on the other hand loved seeing the dolphins and was looking forward to this before we came on holiday. The park a perfect distance for walking for a 5 year old on a very hot day. We saw quite a few animals that we have never seen before at other zoos that we have been to and my daughter also enjoyed the information about the cactus'. The signs on the enclosures were just the right amount to read and my daughter enjoyed looking at what each animal ate. The only criticism is that there was alot to read on the cactus boards and wasnt child friendly reading unlike the ones on the animal enclosures. Taxis are easy to get to and from here.

    Fun in nature
Park surrounded by nature, together with my girlfriend we arrived by car, after a somewhat narrow road. However, easy connection via taxi or bus. The display of dolphins and birds (including the golden eagle) was beautiful. Well organized and honest structure. Highly recommended for a different day in Gran Canaria

    Beautiful park
Very nice park with many parrots. Very cool shows with birds and also a dolphin show. I was a bit hesitant at first, but I saw that the animals are well cared for and taken care of very well, so it is definitely worth going.

    Absolutely fantastic day out
Really good place to go for people of all ages, I myself particularly enjoyed the birds of prey show thought it was fantastic and great to see! Lots of animals to see and the setting is brilliant. Dolphin show was really good but I'm not a massive fan of them in a large pool, but they seemed happy enough! Only issues would be its extremely steep to get to the top so if you jave mobility issues you may struggle and also the at the restaurant it was so so busy and not many staff and they were running about like crazy!

Pure joy! Memorable day for the whole family
Well worth the visit! The park is beautiful and well maintained. The interactive shows included in the day's ticket give you memorable opportunities to see the animals closely. Bird shows and the dolphins are wonderful. The park is compact and the trees give enough shade, so even during the hottest hours the visit is comfortable.

Wow, what a fantastic day out. Best zoo we've been too, by far. All the animals looked happy and well cared for. Very different to UK zoos, no big game type animals but you don't miss them for all the other variety here. The bird of prey show is not to be missed, nor is the dolphin show. We paid the extra 30€ I think it was for our girls to get the extra bit at the end of the dolphin show where they both got to stroke a dolphin and have their photos taken.

Lifelong memories, once in a lifetime.

The only critical thing I'd say (but not worth dropping to 4/5 for) was the restaurant. From what we saw the queues were crazy, the prices seemed extremely high and the menu was extremely limited. But that didn't matter to us and we'd taken our own packed lunch.

Ice creams, lollies and drinks around the park were, in our opinion, reasonably priced. Especially if you pay the extra for the "free" slushie refills around the zoo as in the heat you'll soon drink it all up! Good saving to be had 👌

Me and my wife had a lovely day strolling around the beautiful gardens looking at all the animals.
We where a bit shocked at the entrance when we saw the price but it was well worth it. They employ lots for staff to care for the animals so it made sense.
The food was extortionately expensive but there were picnic benches so it’s you’re choice is you’re prepared.

The massive female bald eagle at the birds of prey show was the highlight of the day for us. She was amazing!
The dolphin show, monkeys, parrots and horn bills were also great.

Highly recommended! Take a picnic or a very full wallet.

Me and my partner have visited Palmitos Park each time we have been to Gran Canaria and loved it. The shows are fab and a special shout to the birds of prey show and the chap who runs that because the show is interesting, engaging and seeing these magnificent creatures fly into the distance is a beautiful sight.

Food and drinks are typical of these parks, a tad pricey and nothing to shout about but also the normal

Would definitely recommend

There is huge advertising all over Gran Canaria for Palmitos Park, we found it very disappointing and massively over priced. Variety of animals were minimal and is so hilly and everything is so spaced out. The dolphin show was the highlight of the day. If you are looking for a zoo themed day out we would recommend the Cocodrilo park for a cheaper and more fun day out

We enjoyed our trip to Palmitos park. It’s high up in a valley and has some impressive views.

The bird show was awesome, they let some eagles fly free for the show and at the end they returned perfectly timed. It really was impressive.

The view from the platform for the bird show is absolutely breathtaking! I would deffinately recommend visiting if you’re looking for something quite nice to do for some time.

I say some time… we went for opening time, we used the bus to get there which was €4.40 each. The park is an average size. If you’re like us, we enjoy a walk around a zoo. Sadly the park isn’t really that big, we got to the park about 10am but had seen most things by 2pm. We didn’t watch the second bird show. For this reason it I only gave it 4 stars.

In terms of cost of food etc which people mention a lot. I would say it’s as expected. It’s not cheap, but I wouldn’t say it’s excessively expensive. It’s reasonable if you consider where you are and what you’d expect the food and drink to cost.

Great place, something for all ages. Very clean, animal enclosures are very close to natural habitat, clean and food for animals was fresh, animals looked healthy and well cared for. Strongly recommend the birds of prey show, lovely to see the birds flying free in the mountains.
CAUTION: If travelling there by taxi, pre book to come home as taxis do not like to travel there after 5pm, as the park closes.
Staff friendly and helpful. 2 members of staff ( I think from the dolphin show) kindly took our party of 6 in their own cars to yhe nearest taxi rank as after 3 calls for a taxi and a 40 min wait, no taxi came.
Views are amazing, beautiful gardens along the way, totally worth the trip.

While I prefer seeing dolphins out in the Atlantic, the dolphins used in this show have all been rescued and would have died if left to fend for themselves. There is an obvious bond between dolphin and trainer.

Only complaint is queuing up for food for 20 minutes to then be told "oh we don't actually have any food today" and being sent to another restaurant. Food is very very expensive so be warned.

Easy enough to get to on the bus from Puerto Rico but buses quite sporadic for the return leg or 30ish euros for a taxi

We visited as two families with 6 children between us, ages ranging from 2-11 years.

We got a taxi from our hotel, which cost around €15 each way from Playa des Ingles.

Important to note that you get discounted tickets if booked online, but you have to do this at least a day in advance, you can't do it on the day of the trip. Adults are from 11 and over.

When we arrived, the youngest member needed a change of nappy, and we were told there were no baby changing facilities on site, so we had to try and make do, which wasn't ideal and something that should be addressed.

As for the park itself, it has a good range of animals and the kids all loved it. There are a few shows to watch, and we saw the birds of prey show and then the dolphin show. It would be a good idea to check the times of these before you go, to avoid any long waits.

While the birds of prey show was very good and interesting, with some very large eagles swooping over our heads, it was the dolphin show that really made it. I am told that the dolphins are rescued and would not have survived in the wild, so not bred in captivity. This is something I was concerned about.

The dolphins are incredible and the show is 30 minutes that my kids will be talking about for a long time. It made the visit very worthwhile, and without it, I do think that the park wouldn't be anywhere near as good.

It was expensive, costing around €110 for our family of 5, and that was booked the day before with the discount, so I would imagine 10% more on the day if you didn't pre-book. The shows are included in the entry price.

From the reviews on here before, I noted that the food was expensive, and so we didn't have anything other than ice creams (€3.80 each), and waited to eat back at the hotel.

We visited this park on a Monday, it was very calm but at the shows pretty full. The animals were mostly birds of all kinds but also reptiles, fishes and insects. The area where the park is in is amazing! It gives you beautiful views and the park itself is like an oase in the desert, it makes you relaxed. So pretty! The shows are also amazing. The birds of prey show was funny and very cool because they let the animals fly free in the mountains. You can also hold some if you are chosen. The Dolfin show was also very nice. They showed a lot of tricks and involved the public as well. They also explained a lot about the animals and how the live. The parrot show is amazing for kids but for adults as well because they show a lot of skills. Overall we spent around 6 hours in the park and it left us amazed. The only negative thing is that the entrance price is very high.. but it was worth it!

A great zoo, but it’s worth the entry for the birds of prey and dolphin show alone.

The bird of prey show is high up at the top of the hill so I’d recommend a hat, as it’s a bit of a sun trap. They have two of the biggest vultures I’ve ever seen, and they fly between the trainers what seems like inches above your head.

The dolphin show is amazing, get there early before it starts if you want a seat in the shade. A photo with the dolphin is 20e or two photos (same person) for 30e. If you want the photo on your phone, you can stand just beside the professional photographer and take your own, he didn’t stop me, I think because you pay beforehand they probably don’t care at that point if you take your own as well.

Drinks are 5e for 750ml cup and the bottle water is 3.50e out the machine.
