    Fantastic day
We had a lot of fun at the zoo as a family. The shows were excellent and our children really enjoyed all of them. They were probably the best animal shows we’ve seen. We especially enjoyed getting to see the dolphins and we paid extra to see them up close. They made our day and it was a wonderful experience.

Great zoo if you’re visiting Gran Canaria
A beautiful park with small animals (no elephants, giraffes etc) and great shows and friendly personnel. Not cheap, but prices seem fair compared to other zoo’s. Trees offer enough shadow during hot summer days. The bird shows on top of the hill offer no shade. The dolphin show is amazing.

Had an Nice experience. Some small issuses
Bird show and delfin show was the best. Rest of the park was ok, but some cages was a little too small compared to other parkes ive visited, and one monkey seemed to be alone in his cage. All in all an ok experience. Recomend highly the bird show. Dont bother to pay for food in advance with tickets. Not valid at the restaurant at the top of the park. For us it was bad timing to go back to the entrance to use the food ticket there midvay in our stay. So ended up paying for an ok meal, that was slightly overprised. (15,99 euros for an burger) clean and well maintenanced toilets and the rest of the park also in good shape.

    Palmitos park
As a wheelchair user I found the park very difficult and at some points the gradient for the disabled buggy very dangerous. Having said that it was a lovely day out albeit expensive as it was extra to hire this. We found the restaurant very expensive also . Based on this we probably wouldn’t return

    Fun, enjoyable day out
Very clean, tidy, friendly place. Loads of really good rides for all ages. The sea lion experience was very good and reasonably priced as you get 5 pictures included in the price. Compared to the dolphin experience at the local animal place. The food was reasonable for a tourist location. Bring footwear as the ground gets exceptionally hot. You also need to pay for loungers, which is collected by staff roaming around

    Best day out
Fantastic day out. Expensive but worth every penny. So many animals. The bird show and the dolphin shows are amazing. 25 Euro to have a picture taken with a dolphin. 12 Euro to have a picture with the parrots. There is a gift shop and a few restaurant and snack bars selling food and drink. Very hilly so maybe difficult for those with mobility issues but there are scooters, pushchairs and wheelchairs you can hire.

    Great for families or adults
Exceptionally clean and well maintained. Mostly exotic birds, this is a park not a zoo. There is a lot there to see, can pass a few hours. Birds of prey display was interesting and dolphin show was very entertaining and talented. There is a lot of walking up and down hill, my calves still ache!! We took the public bus there and back which was very reliable.

    Excellent zoo and dolphin show
Firstly do NOT miss the dolphin show. This was absolutely brilliant, free (well part of the admission) and the absolute highlight of our trip there. We'd have loved to meet the dolphins also but at 150 euros each for 30 mins there was no way. Aside from that though the park is very well kept, entertaining and lots to see. As there isn't a huge amount going on in San Agustin we were glad to hire a car and drive up to the park and enjoy all it had to offer.

Beautiful park, excellent bird and dolphin shows, amazing views.
Thoroughly enjoyed our visit to this park. It is very clean and well maintained and very well run. There is lots of walking involved and up and down hill so make sure you wear comfortable shoes. There were plenty of toilets and stops for drinks and food around the park. We ate in the restaurant which was extremely efficient and clean. We didn't have to wait a long time for our food to arrive, the portion sizes are very generous. You do obviously pay a premium when eating out at these sorts of places but we felt the food we received and the portions sizes were more than fair considering. The bird of prey show and exotic bird shows are entertaining and very informative and so definitely worth watching. There is very little shade around the bird show area but would completely ruin the views you get of the birds in flight if they were to put any sort of cover up. So be prepared - apply the sun cream, have a good hat, water, hand fan etc to keep yourself as cool as possible because it really is worth watching. We had a couple of cooling cloths with us that we re-wet around the park in the toilets as we explored which we found really helpful to keep us cool, especially while watching the shows. The dolphin show was amazing!!! Do not miss! Stunning backdrop for the dolphin show, again, very little shade although there was cover right at the top of the viewing area which provided lots of shade. There are also opportunities around the park to have pictures taken with parrots. Very entertaining and another great little experience. No pressure to buy the photos at all but you can collect and pay at the end, we paid 17 euros for 2 pictures which come in a lovely booklet and a nice momento of our day. Around the park there is plenty of shade and opportunities so sit in the shade and rest and enjoy the surroundings. Sitting quietly will often reward you with some sightings of wild lizards which kept us just as entertained as the other animals!

    Great Family Day Out.
Our family travelled here on the last dy of our holiday in Gran Canaria from Bahia Feliz by taxi which took about 30 minutes but much quicker than by bus. The overall experience was excellent especially the awesome dophin show (individual photographs of your child stood or kneeling alongside a dolphin available for 25 euros each) and also the wild bird show consisting of eagles, macaws, owls etc flying freely over your heads was also great. Loads of animals to see around the park including an enclosed area with parrots that you can hand feed with cups of nectar. Jus to advise that some areas (especially the wild bird experience) is located at the top of a very steep incline that goes on for quite a while if you have mobility issues, can get slightly exhausting but still well worth the climb... We spent about about 5 hours at the Park and had a most enjoyable day...

There is huge advertising all over Gran Canaria for Palmitos Park, we found it very disappointing and massively over priced. Variety of animals were minimal and is so hilly and everything is so spaced out. The dolphin show was the highlight of the day. If you are looking for a zoo themed day out we would recommend the Cocodrilo park for a cheaper and more fun day out

We enjoyed our trip to Palmitos park. It’s high up in a valley and has some impressive views.

The bird show was awesome, they let some eagles fly free for the show and at the end they returned perfectly timed. It really was impressive.

The view from the platform for the bird show is absolutely breathtaking! I would deffinately recommend visiting if you’re looking for something quite nice to do for some time.

I say some time… we went for opening time, we used the bus to get there which was €4.40 each. The park is an average size. If you’re like us, we enjoy a walk around a zoo. Sadly the park isn’t really that big, we got to the park about 10am but had seen most things by 2pm. We didn’t watch the second bird show. For this reason it I only gave it 4 stars.

In terms of cost of food etc which people mention a lot. I would say it’s as expected. It’s not cheap, but I wouldn’t say it’s excessively expensive. It’s reasonable if you consider where you are and what you’d expect the food and drink to cost.

Great place, something for all ages. Very clean, animal enclosures are very close to natural habitat, clean and food for animals was fresh, animals looked healthy and well cared for. Strongly recommend the birds of prey show, lovely to see the birds flying free in the mountains.
CAUTION: If travelling there by taxi, pre book to come home as taxis do not like to travel there after 5pm, as the park closes.
Staff friendly and helpful. 2 members of staff ( I think from the dolphin show) kindly took our party of 6 in their own cars to yhe nearest taxi rank as after 3 calls for a taxi and a 40 min wait, no taxi came.
Views are amazing, beautiful gardens along the way, totally worth the trip.

While I prefer seeing dolphins out in the Atlantic, the dolphins used in this show have all been rescued and would have died if left to fend for themselves. There is an obvious bond between dolphin and trainer.

Only complaint is queuing up for food for 20 minutes to then be told "oh we don't actually have any food today" and being sent to another restaurant. Food is very very expensive so be warned.

Easy enough to get to on the bus from Puerto Rico but buses quite sporadic for the return leg or 30ish euros for a taxi

We visited as two families with 6 children between us, ages ranging from 2-11 years.

We got a taxi from our hotel, which cost around €15 each way from Playa des Ingles.

Important to note that you get discounted tickets if booked online, but you have to do this at least a day in advance, you can't do it on the day of the trip. Adults are from 11 and over.

When we arrived, the youngest member needed a change of nappy, and we were told there were no baby changing facilities on site, so we had to try and make do, which wasn't ideal and something that should be addressed.

As for the park itself, it has a good range of animals and the kids all loved it. There are a few shows to watch, and we saw the birds of prey show and then the dolphin show. It would be a good idea to check the times of these before you go, to avoid any long waits.

While the birds of prey show was very good and interesting, with some very large eagles swooping over our heads, it was the dolphin show that really made it. I am told that the dolphins are rescued and would not have survived in the wild, so not bred in captivity. This is something I was concerned about.

The dolphins are incredible and the show is 30 minutes that my kids will be talking about for a long time. It made the visit very worthwhile, and without it, I do think that the park wouldn't be anywhere near as good.

It was expensive, costing around €110 for our family of 5, and that was booked the day before with the discount, so I would imagine 10% more on the day if you didn't pre-book. The shows are included in the entry price.

From the reviews on here before, I noted that the food was expensive, and so we didn't have anything other than ice creams (€3.80 each), and waited to eat back at the hotel.

We visited this park on a Monday, it was very calm but at the shows pretty full. The animals were mostly birds of all kinds but also reptiles, fishes and insects. The area where the park is in is amazing! It gives you beautiful views and the park itself is like an oase in the desert, it makes you relaxed. So pretty! The shows are also amazing. The birds of prey show was funny and very cool because they let the animals fly free in the mountains. You can also hold some if you are chosen. The Dolfin show was also very nice. They showed a lot of tricks and involved the public as well. They also explained a lot about the animals and how the live. The parrot show is amazing for kids but for adults as well because they show a lot of skills. Overall we spent around 6 hours in the park and it left us amazed. The only negative thing is that the entrance price is very high.. but it was worth it!

A great zoo, but it’s worth the entry for the birds of prey and dolphin show alone.

The bird of prey show is high up at the top of the hill so I’d recommend a hat, as it’s a bit of a sun trap. They have two of the biggest vultures I’ve ever seen, and they fly between the trainers what seems like inches above your head.

The dolphin show is amazing, get there early before it starts if you want a seat in the shade. A photo with the dolphin is 20e or two photos (same person) for 30e. If you want the photo on your phone, you can stand just beside the professional photographer and take your own, he didn’t stop me, I think because you pay beforehand they probably don’t care at that point if you take your own as well.

Drinks are 5e for 750ml cup and the bottle water is 3.50e out the machine.

Great park but please bring your own food we waited over 30 mins to be served and eventually walked out. There is no children’s menu and the service was really bad, only 4 servers and 2 were taking mo way off people. So just 2 taking orders really. The dolphin show was fantastic the staff were great! Lots of birds and it was peaceful.

reduce the entrance fee of 33e dramatically , this experience left a bitter sweet taste , super birds , if not all about the birds,
Sat in a full restaurent for over 40 minutes hoping to eat and have soft drink , ended up leaving as no one came to take order and impossible to get either one of the waiters attention.
all food drinks , and machine drinks highly priced (3.50e ) that's just for a small bottle of water.
After having spent 2 hours getting.g their at yes you guessed it , enty of euros, we had seen everything in just over an hour , really speaking nothing at this park that special .been to many at half the entrance cost and so much better.
other concerning things were the perthetically small pens most creatures were in with many showing nasty wounds.
would definitely NOT go back
maybe if you do go , see the dolphins show , we didn't want to , so didn't. but did see them
really bri.gs home the morality of these money spinning places , made us think twice , and I. future wi rather spend 66e on something worth whe maybe go and see dolphins in the wild , the ocean where they should be , , can do this fro puerto rico marina for 25e.

We visited here on my birthday as a special treat. It's really easy to get to from playa del ingles as you can catch the 45 bus there and back. It's about half an hour away so not too bad. We really enjoyed our day out because between viewing all of the different animals, there were four different shows to see so you can easily spend all day here. The staff were really friendly around the park and you couldl tell how much they enjoy working with the animals. I highly reccomend the birds of prey show, these birds are magnificent as its great to see they get to free fly regularly. Whilst visiting we bought a drink and the particular stand only had reusable cups which I didn't mind because I thought great, we can fill it up again (standard cup, not a dolphin one). When we watched the bird of prey show, we did just that, refilled it with no problems. When I went back to the original stand I purchased it from, I was told I could not refill it and would have to purchase another cup and despite me saying I'd already refilled it, the member of staff was having none of it. We reluctantly bought another cup but I was dissapointed because its not very environmentally friendly doing so when we already had one. There was also nothing telling me on a poster etc, that it should not be refilled. 🤷🏻‍♀️
