Just returned from an eleven night stay here. It is a beautiful place with lots of places to visit , great amenities, lovely beach and very friendly locals. The weather was gorgeous considering it was mid January, temperature averaging 25* and clear blue sky.

The lighthouse is the keystone to the area and how this area has developed over the last ten years ! From a pretty grotty shopping area (still there) to boutique and very expensive shops with accompanying restaurants and still expanding along the coast.

A great walk to be had from the lighthouse at Faro to Meloneras beach. The sandy coastline changes from soft sand to pebbled and more natural in its sound as the waves can be heard breaking.Historical information can be viewed with antique photos of the area.A beautiful walk. A Beautiful place.

I have a weird obession with lighthouses and of all the ones I've seen this one is the most amazing! So beautiful and you feel am amazing energy from the area, sit down on the grass with a bottle of vino and sarnies and chill out. Or have some MUST TRY cocktails at the el faro restaurant under the lighthouse!

Spent lots of lovely days here. The Restaurant by the Light House (can not remember name) was Delicious. Everything we ordered was Tasty. The Man who greeted us Outside was Warm, Polite, and very knowledgeable on everything we asked Him regarding the surrounding Areas. Would Highly Recommend.

This is a very picturesque area, but the shops and restaurants are very expensive. There is a lovely beach to walk along leading to the sand dunes of Maspalomas.

After a brisk two hour walk from playa de ingles u arrive at the monument ..a feat of cracking engineering ..pity it isn't open to tourist as the view from the Top would be outstanding ..plenty to see and do around the area ...usual shops selling trinkets but also new designer outlets with overpriced items ..but all places have them... Basically its a light house with a stack of expensive shops behind it. A superb sand sculpture was working in front of it. Well worth a look for the area around it.
