We have been visiting Gran Canaria for over 20 years, with samll children and as they have grown up, we travel with friends. We have always stayed in the Maspalomas/Meloneras area and the furthest we have ventured has been Purto Mogan and Las Palmas on the public buses.
This holiday I researched the various web sites as we wanted to explore the "real" Island and see the in-land areas.
We found the Sky Rebels site and it ticked all of our boxes - Small number of people (max 6), location of the tour, lunch and pick up from our hotel.
The morning of the trip, we were met by Ines and Juan at our hotel, who greeted us and explained the days itinerary.
We spent the day with a lovely couple who were energetic, fun, knowledgable and passionate of their Island's and it's history.
I have been to Gran Canaria many many times and learned more in that 1 day.
Also, the transport was top class and the food we had for lunch was of the highest quality and superb, all sourced locally, which goes along with thier ethos.
If you want to see and do more than hotel and beach and you have and interest in culture and history.
I seriously suggest you experience what my wife and friends were able to experince last week.
When we return to the Island, we will be looking forward to Ines and Juan's 2nd tour.
P.S. We booked via Viatour, who we have used for many years as we did not know Sky Rebels, but next time we will directly with them.
