We had an such a great time on our segway tour with Carla and Damián. It was our first time ever on a segway and they were very good at explaining how it worked and made sure we were comfortable and in control before we set off. They took us to see some beautiful views and even kindly took pictures and videos for us too!
Highly recommended to see the nice town of Meloneras.

The guy doing the tour is amazing. Unfortunately I do not have his name. But his photo is on the photo of their TripAdvisor page. He is friendly, knows his job and trains the trick to you in 2 minutes. I was almost on the ride over five minutes. Then you have an hour of fun with a drink included in the tour fee you paid already.

We met Francesco our tour guide outside the designated area, near the lighthouse shopping centre.
He was bright friendly and enthusiastic, after a quick but thorough tuition on how to use the Segway, we were off! The tour itself was situated mostly around Maspalomas and the light house, there were a few interesting facts , but mostly we were just driving around looking at the beautiful views.
Francesco is hugely entertaining and was a great guide. And our 50 min tour flew by.
All in all, a great time was had by all, my only advice is take care on the busy pathways shared by pedestrians.

This is a mixed review so please read..we joined a 50 min relax tour with 2 children having had good email correspondence about what was most suitable for kids/beginners. Francesco met us and was really friendly and fun..we went through the basics of how they work and how to steer..this felt adequate and we felt reassured about the ease and safety. We were told that they had to advise us to wear helmets but it was our choice.
Then we set off through the very busy walking area along the seafront between melonares and maspalomas. We were weaving in and put of people..bikes..kids..old people..pushchairs etc on bike track bit and walkway..
I was slower so Francesco was quite far ahead but i felt stable and it was fun..he was lovely throughout..fun with the kids and reassuring..
Then we crossed a road and there was a medium kerb..we hadnt practised or discussed kerbs..i was behind and so didnt hear any instruction which apparantly was to hit it faster..i hit the kerb and all my weight shifted forward over the front..overbalancing me and my right leg stepped off the front..causing a big fall and the segway to run over my foot then crash into me. I was mostly embarrassed and got up and back on..i nearly fell again in the road going down a kerb and we had to stop a coach that was heading to me..my son had 2 wobbles but managed to step off backwards to save himself fine..
I ended up spending the afternoon in the hospital getting xrays for a suspected broken foot..and had the rest of the holiday with a crutch..bandage and medication..luckily just badly bruised not broken.
Honestly we really enjoyed it until this point and i would do it again but there needs a little more thought to protect both customers and the company.
Its easy for staff who do this all day to forget how total beginners and the less co ordinated may find it..maybe keep them near the front.
We didnt sign any safety agreements or liability stuff ..if i had sustained a worse injury this may be worth thinking about for both sides.
The pedestrian area was packed and if there was a fall there someone could get really hurt.
My advice is go and have fun but have a bit of caution..these things are heavy if they hit you and can bugger the rest of your holiday!

We missed your review.. so we answer now even if some time has passed..
We are very sorry about what appened and we will do our best to increase the safety during our tours,
Is very rare that this kind of unpleasant events appen during our tour ..but misfortune is always lurking..in the same time we wonder why , after the accident,you didn’t told anything to our guide about your conditions..He could have done something to help you ...even if the spot where you fell was pretty far from the end of tour, you wanted to continue until the end ,saying that it was all right..
As you said Francesco is very friendly person and is was there at your service for any help.. further more we could have activate our insurance so at least you could have get free medical sevice.
Hoping that you’re better now we send you our best regards

This was a really fun way to see Meloneras. I took my 14 year old daughter and we both thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Our instructor was Francesco who was really good at building confidence, making sure we fully understood the controls before departing by making sure we had practice runs. He was funny and made the experience even more enjoyable. Fully recommended!

My friend Finola encouraged me to experience a Segway guided tour as she kept on raving about it after her Segway experience in San Francisco . So, I relented and said yes ! Went on the 50 mins Segway tour with my brother. Was great fun. It’s really easy to do. Today was Francesco’s last day but am sure Andy will do a fab job taking over the tours. Would definitely recommend it and do it again if I come back to Gran Canaria.

Had a great tour today with Alex. We started with a quick safety briefing and then we were off on our 50 minute tour. The route we took along the cycle path was perfect, we saw areas of the coast we hadn't seen before and Alex gave us an interesting commentary along the way. He also took lots of photos which he sent to us via WhatsApp, this was a nice touch and much appreciated. Would highly recommend this tour if you want to do something a bit different, we will definitely be back to try

A big thank you to Alex for this experience, we had a little intro and practice as we had been segwaying before. Then went on a tour of the coast line with a good informative commentary on the way, Alex also took photos for us which he sent later. Thank you.A great experience would highly recommend.
