The castle is a must see when visiting the area of Tossa. Lovely walks up the castle and around the top but not accessible for wheelchairs or buggies.

I love this Roman castle near the Platja Gran in Tossa de Mar. It’s literally next to the beach! Most cities would charge to enter such a beautiful castle, but in Tossa de Mar it’s completely free and we are allowed to go anywhere in this castle, unless it is barred. There are walkways everywhere and we can even walk... More

We walked up to the top of here which was quite a climb, If you are unable to manage this, then there is a little train that goes from the Seafront to the Lighthouse for 4 Euros per person each way. Very well worth it as the view from the top is beautiful.

The Castle of Tossa de Mar is an amazing place: the view from it is priceless. There is also a lighthouse on the top of the hill. You can access the castle directly from the beach or through the streets of the old town - to try both ways is the best. There are also a lot of restaurants and... More

Situated up on a promontory the castle overlooks the town and the sea. It is wonderfully preserved and offers staggering view from is Romanesque stance. Well worth the walk up.

If you can cope with a steep walk, it is well worth the effort. If you can't - a train runs up and down to the summit.

Takes about 15 mins to climb to the top, plenty of places to sit and have a rest if needed. Great views at the top of the whole town. Bar at the very top for a welcome drink.

The castle walls are build around the old town, which is really amazing. It’s not really a castle which you can visit, but more the old town within it’s walls. It’s definitely a must see; very picturesque and great views from the top of the castle walls

We went up in the train to the top of the castle, where we found a quaint bar with an excellent view of everything, really lovely place to take your partner or even family.

We took the train up to the lighthouse and walked down to the castle level. Stunning views and good opportunities for great photos.
