Beautiful looking beach with lovely views of the castle.

A lovely beach with plenty of space even in July. The water is very clear but gets deep pretty quickly. The sand is quite pebbly and a little uncomfortable to walk on. It is also quite dusty. Showers are available to wash dirty feet. Boats coming and going all day to take you up or down the coast. They actually... More

On the lovely beach is the Kiosc Bar which serves very good Gin&Tonics indeed which we enjoyed at the end of a lazy day in the sun. Perfect just watching people enjoying themselves as the sun goes down:) Visited twice - great service!

An idyllic place when it is calm and sunny with clear clean sea and the dramatic backdrop of the Vila Vella but it is at its most dramatic when the rollers are up and the sunbathers have to find the only bit of dry beach under the sea wall. SS

Strange beach made up of coarse shingle and very deep very quickly, if you had young children I think you would be constantly on edge. There is a nice prom behind the beach but because it has been banked up you can't see the water at all in places, very strange.

We came by sea and left by bus, this was a good place to cool off after walking the ramparts. The view is excellent.

Lovely small beach with a couple of beach bars and boat hire/boat trips. Villa vella is the focal point and it's all very pretty.

Lovely beach, very clean, close to shops and cafes. The beach is fine shingle not sand, the sea is clear and lovely for a swim, bring scuba goggles as there are small fish quite close to the shore line. It does shelve sharply so kids need supervision, but my 10 yr oils granddaughter loved it and spent ages looking at... More

Be sure to bring your water shoes as this is a very pebbly beach, no fine sand. The water is crystal clean and free of seaweed.

Favourite beach ! 2 loungers plus parasol costs 18 euros per day. Great place to just enjoy the views of the castle and you can see Mar Menuda beach from your lounger or watch boats coming and going. Good beach bar. Sand is gravelly but spotlessly clean. Roll on next June so I can return.
