Our favourite beach that we visited during our family holiday to Tossa de Mar (July & August 2022). Very busy, but understandable because of its beauty!
The water is CRYSTAL clear and perfect for snorkelling. We took our own masks and spent hours swimming underwater to look at the hundreds of FISH in the water! So beautiful. A lovely pleasant swim out a bit deeper too.
There's a lovely man on the beach who owns a 'sun lounger and parasol hire' which was greatly appreciated. For just over seven euros you can hire a sun lounger for the whole day, and for a similar price you can hire a parasol which the attendant kindly assembles and places for you. Extremely convenient.
There's a cafe right by the beach, too, which is useful for snacks, especially ice lollies (which we made the most of).
Beautiful beach surrounded by beautiful Tossa with lots to do!

Small beach with crystal clear water, quiet in May, June and September. Ideal October.
Good restaurants around.
The pity is that you barely find a place in high season because the kayak rental company occupies practically the entire beach, and the other part is occupied by umbrellas and sunbeds, also for rent. They should very much limit the spaces for these purposes.

Ideal for snorkeling. You can approach the island opposite, being careful because of the boat traffic.
Difficult to park and very expensive to park near the beach. 15 euros day rate in ORA zone. But it's worth it for snorkeling.

To be said that in Tossa, downtown there are three beaches: Paltja gran, Es Codolar and Mar Menuda. Of the 3 it is definitely the one with the most crystal clear water. there are also many fish and it is fun to snorkel. recommended!

This beach is much quieter than the main Playa and has limited but satisfactory facilities in the form of a snack bar and a large hotel with resaurant. All the beaches at Tossa have pebbly and grainy sand steep shelving entry to the water. Thiscanposeaproblem forchildren and weak swimmers as you are immediatley out of your depth. Full Lifeguard coverage.

Nice beach however very busy. Sunloungers and parasols are available to hire for the day (21 Euro for 2 loungers and 1 parasol) nice beach bar if can find a table. Sea is hard to get out of, its very rocky so sea shoes highly recommended. The beach has lifeguards and showers, water activity’s also available. A tractor drives over the sand every morning and cleans it up.

A lovely place on the edge of Tossa de Mar with a lifeguard on duty and a beachside cafe. The beach is flatter than the main Tossa beach, however, the water gets deep quickly.

Much smaller, and with an easier slope entering the water, this is popular with locals and the guests of the three adjacent hotels but parking is difficult.
A good beach bar and the "Ladies Pool" is used by the Scuba Schools as an entry, with drop off, into the adjacent bay

Its a lovely beach to promenade or sunbathe and swim the fact that the sand it gritty is a bonus as you don't get sand everywhere!
