As with previous comment...once inside the old castle walls its stunning...the part derelict building is well worth a look trying to imagine it in its full glory..couldnt get all the way in as a stage had been set up but could still sit and wonder...catch a road train for 6€ if you cant walk up steep inclines and steady walk down to see this and other buildings and ruins

On our recent trip to Spain we spent two nights and three days in the quaint, historic town of Tossa de Mar. It is a small resort town on the Mediterranean Coast east of Barcelona. The beautiful bay and beach is guarded by the Castillo de Tossa de Mar with its walled city. Once inside the walls the fortress is a maze of cobblestone walkways, battlements, small shops and sidewalk cafes. The Esglesia Vella de Sant Vicenc sits atop a hill within the fortress and looks out onto the bay. Only part of the original structure remains but what is left is well preserved and a very photogenic spot. If you are in Tossa de Mar you must visit the fortress and check out the Esglesia Vella de Sant Vicenc.....

This church was very peaceful and the architecture, especially the ceiling are well worth taking the time to see, it is very close to all the other tourist attractions. The coloured candle room is something I have never seen before and is a pleasant change from the usual Ivory church candles.

As well as being a place of worship, this lovely baroque church in a stately square hosts classical guitar concerts on Thursday evenings in the summer season. Well worth seeking out. It shouldn't be confused with the ruined church overlooking the sea within the old walls.
