We did the Taste Fjord Safari, 3 hours from Flåm with stop at Undredal for goats cheese tasting on way back. Skipper stopped numerous times to tell us about area and point out things of interest ... including pod of porpoises! Stunning scenery, steep mountains, waterfalls, small villages etc. Boat fast and pretty windy .. even wearing the full flotation suits & goggles they provide, felt quite chilly by end. Thoroughly recommend this trip but book in advance to get day & time you want.

We really enjoyed this activity. The weather was not great, but we had a fabulous time. There were only 3 people on the hike and the snow was so thick! The clouds refused to clear fully, but it was so much fun hiking in the deep snow while more snow continued to fall. The warm drink and chocolate was welcome, but we all just wanted more walking. Our guide, Erik, was very friendly and a lot of fun. We have good cold weather clothing, but Erik insisted on providing us with waterproof pants, just as well since I ended up flat out in the snow! We stopped at the lovely Stegastein lookout on the drive back down and arrived back in Flam after dark. This is a fun thing to do when in Flam, thanks Erik!

Lots of gear to put on, most for safety but also prevents the cold. We were lucky and had nice weather and it only started to rain as we pulled ashore. It is beautiful to see the fjord, The guide was full of local knowledge. The cheese and meets were excellent and we were sorry we could not bring some back to Australia (customs is very tight here)

We were lucky enough to be able to book the 2.5 hour safari in the afternoon. The attention to detail for keeping us all warm whilst enjoying the boat safari was amazing.
