We had a truly wonderful experience riding up to Stegastein with our El-tour guide. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and answered all of our questions.
He also doubled as a helpful traffic manager when some giant buses were jamming up the small roads to and from the viewpoint - jumping out right away and making it so everyone could get moving again.
Our guide really went above and beyond, too, finding a place for us to stop on the way back for a WC break when the ones at the viewpoint were all locked up -- and then again when we were trying to make a tight connection to our next activity by making sure we got where we needed to go on time.
Really great experience start to finish!

We had a great trip led by Daniel earlier this week. There was a safety briefing and quick lesson on how to use the segway safely. It was a beautiful ride, following the river through the valley and to the church in the village. We then went uphill to get some great views of the fjord. There was a small problem with one of the groups segways, and this was handled really well by both Daniel and the support vehicle, and we were back on our way in minutes. Would highly recommend this trip for exploring more of Flam and escaping the crowds.

We've taken Segway tours all over and our experience in Flam goes down as one of our absolute favorites. Not only was it a fun trek for Segways, but the scenery was breathtaking and beautiful throughout. The tour and information from a Flam native was interesting. We really enjoyed the 2-hour tour. One note for cruise ship passengers, be sure to book early. When we arrive for our tour quite a few others had hoped to book a tour at the same time, but the spots were already filled by those of us who pre-booked. So book early! It is definitely worth it!

We booked direct, having found them on Tripadvisor. They confirmed by email and we paid on the day by credit card. Easy to find right in the centre, walking distance from where the cruise ship docked. Next to the railway station. The guy who owns the company met us, sorry I cannot remember his name. Very friendly and funny. You have a little training session first and once you are happy, off you go. We had to wear helmets and hi-vis vest. You can leave your belongings locked in his trailer if you like. We chose the 75 minute session. Very reasonably priced compared to the ship.

We were 2 overnights in Flåm as part of a hiking trip in Norway. My husband and I checked this out one evening and it sounded like fun, but as we had been drinking it was not appropriate at that time. Went back the next day when a tour was already booked and joined in. My first time on a segway. Husband says it steers like a combine which was kind of weird. I only fell off once and that was when I was waiting on the side of the road in some gravel for a car to pass. Enjoyed seeing a different part of Flåm and riding through a farm. Guide was great, I called him Shakira because I cannot pronounce Norwegian names worth a darn. Affordable compared to other types of tours. Highly recommend and my balance is not the greatest.

This was a great way to see the very best of Flam. Kjell was a great teacher and made sure that we were all confident with the ninebot before starting. The machines themselves are very easy to use. The tour was great and was made more special as Kjell was local to the valley and showed us the best waterfalls!

We tried to contact the El-Tour as our previous tour got delayed by 40+ minutes, so we were trying to get in touch with El-Tour about 20-30 minutes BEFORE the 14:20 tour to see if we can reach a resolution.
However the listed phone number on their website (same as the TripAdvisor one) wasn't answered and only redistricted to voicemail. Nor were the few emails we sent regarding our location and expected ETA update. We think we saw the van leaving Flåm as our tour bus pulling in the port.
We only got a reply 8 hours AFTER our first email at around 22:00. By then our ship is already half-way out into the Atlantic.
It's fine that we won't make it or they can't delay, we booked the tour at our own risk. But some form of communication would make the experience at least more bearable. Certainly not replying 8-hours later and offering to change it to tomorrow when we are on the Atlantic ocean.

If you are not looking for it, you would never know Kjell's El Tour Segway Tours even exists within the hustle and bustle of Flam. Yet, there it is, housed in nothing more than a storage unit, is the best experience Flam has to offer! My wife and I segwayed throughout Norway, but Kjell and his tour was the most enjoyable, picaresque and informative. Riding out of the town and into the mountains, Kjell takes you on a wonderful experience-- filled with anecdotes, good humor and even a stop for the best blueberries we have ever tasted.
Don't miss this segway tour. It's fun. It's exciting. And it gives you a perspective of Flam you would otherwise have not gotten,

Kjell Arne Nygard's Segway tour of Flam was the highlight of our recent trip to see some of the fjords in Norway. The Flam Railway was a lovely trip too, but the individual tour by Kjell was friendly, informative and fun! We even stopped to by some freshly-picked raspberries at a stand by the road. We stopped in the historic church. We saw the fishing platforms by the river. All in all, a terrific tour - be sure to give it a try! We're so glad we did!

I love to do Segway tours all over the world, as you can cover a lot of distance in a short amount of time. I did the 2 hour tour while in port on my cruise. I was the only guest, and I appreciated that the tour did not have a minimum. Since I was the only one, I was able to have a nice conversation with the guide, and learn a lot about Norway while seeing the area. Highly recommend this!
