- NorthStar323667487651 contributionGreat park mediocre overnight stayFirst and foremost, the park is very beautiful. I would say the entrance fee is OK. We also booked an overnight stay, which is a bit too expensive in my opinion. The park price has to be paid extra. The lodge comfort equipment booked for four people was faulty. The television was not available because there was no reception due to flooding. It's great for a day trip, but staying overnight with children will be difficult because I still have room for improvement for the price.Visited March 2024Traveled with familyWritten March 31, 2024
- Rieke B10 contributionsGreat experienceGreat, I was here for the first and last time as a child and I really wanted to come back. My husband gave me an overnight stay with everything included for my 40th birthday. The animals are amazing. Everything is so close, lots of space, etc. We ate lunch at the Manjara Restaurant, it was delicious BUT the buffet in the evening was not worth the money. The food was cold, bland and unloving. I can't say anything about breakfast yet. We stayed in one of the Masai Mara Lodges. Absolutely fantastic. Clean, lovingly furnished with a terrace.Visited May 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten May 4, 2024
- Kat V1 contributionWe will be back as soon as possibleWe had booked one of the tent lodges as a surprise for my husband's 30th birthday. We arrived around midday and were given very good information and advice at reception. The lodge was super nice and very clean. It even had a fan and a kettle including a few packets of tea and coffee. The nice gentleman who took us from reception with a caddy and our luggage to the lodge explained to us how the heating works if we are cold and that there is a 24-hour service if there are any problems. The only thing we were missing here was either a small make-up mirror or an additional one in another room. As I am not very tall, I unfortunately couldn't reach the mirror in the bathroom. But that's complaining at a high level. At some attractions we would have liked to have had lockers to keep our valuables safe as it is not possible to take your bag with you everywhere. Perhaps an idea for the future. The evening buffet and breakfast were very rich and extensive. If you don't find anything there, it's your own fault. The bus tour was very interesting and we were able to see a lot of animals. Otherwise, it's really worth paying the price for entry. There are lots of little tours and attractions that are great and exciting. For example, a speedboat ride or an aqua safari. We'll definitely be back soon and are already looking forward to it.Visited May 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten May 15, 2024
- Hubert M2 contributionsBeautiful park with restrictionsThe park is generally nice but not very family-friendly. No children's menus and only open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., which of course leads to stress. The short waiting times at the rides are positive. The opening times at 5 p.m. and the buffet in the evening, which is far too expensive for a family, inevitably lead to stress and spoil the experience. - Philipp S1 contributionVery nice trip - if you bring the drinksWe have been here three times already and are always amazed at how much is being built and developed here. We have now also planned our time differently. First we go to the park as usual and take the bus tour in the afternoon when there is less going on and the animals are more active. All I can say about the prices is that the entrance fee is justified, the animals don't just eat air and water. You get the combination of a zoo and an amusement park. A neighboring amusement park charges around 33% more for admission and there are no animals there. The star deduction is for the horrendous food prices. 0.33 liters for over 3 euros is just too much. So we only got a crepe and a fish sandwich and brought drinks from home. But otherwise the animals were well looked after and happy. The rides were as good as new and there was something for all ages.Visited May 2024Traveled with familyWritten May 20, 2024
- Manuel B5 contributionsA really great experienceA really great experience. Despite the Whitsun holidays, there wasn't much going on. We spent the night in the park with the animals in the Ranger Lodge, a converted jeep. The rangers accompanied us in an entertaining and amusing way. The next day we drove through the great, expansive park and got really close to the animals. We really enjoyed it.Visited May 2024Traveled with familyWritten May 29, 2024
- Galina M1 contributionDon't expect much, then you won't be disappointedIt was a beautiful day in Serengeti Park. We arrived a little later (10:30 a.m.), so we didn't get a VIP safari. If you really want to do that, please arrive earlier and go straight to the VIP ticket office. We did a bus safari first. It wasn't anything special. Then we visited the monkeys and elephants. The monkeys were in a good mood, I felt sorry for the elephants. The condition of the enclosures is just not good. The feeding of the predators was cancelled - no electricity in the complex. Then we went to the amusement park. The rides are getting old. You can't compare it to Europa Park or Legoland. We and the children still had fun. The waiting time was OK. Due to the weather (rain) we couldn't ride the speedboats at the end. Despite the park's extended opening hours, we didn't manage to ride all the rides. So, I think it's not possible during normal times until 6 p.m. Conclusion: don't expect too much, it's not worth traveling from far. We had reduced tickets, so it was ok.Visited May 2024Traveled with familyWritten June 14, 2024
- Reisender Alex IBuhl, Germany4,916 contributionsOn foot you can't see everythingVisit on 13 June 2024 During our trip to Germany, we also stopped in Hodenhagen in Serengeti Park. The park is divided into zoo and theme park, including accommodation. Those visiting the zoo have the opportunity to explore it either by foot (not all areas accessible, by their own car, or by safari bus). It opens at 10:00 a.m. and currently the day ticket for adults (as of: June 2024) €46.50. If you book the Serengeti bus safari in addition, another 6,50 € will be added. We decided on the foot variant and can now say that it was unfortunately disappointing from our point of view, as you do not reach the animal areas by any means, as if you are travelling by car or bus. On the other hand, there is the theme park, which is very attractive for children and you can therefore offer two attractions at once. We are then one experience richer and can unfortunately advise against the foot variant.Visited June 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten June 29, 2024
- Katharina H88 contributionsWe will be back! This year is the second visit to the park because we liked it so much last time. We stayed there for two nights. If you want to see the park in peace and have fun with the theme park offers, two days are definitely enough. We also booked the predator safari. Very interesting and nice to watch the tigers and lions up close. The rangers were very attentive unless motorists followed the rules.Visited July 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten July 22, 2024
- Hansen477Hvidovre, Denmark89 contributionsNot worth the moneyExtremely bad experience with the staff, who ⁇ did not know a word of English and gave absolutely wrong guidance. Nice with little Tivoli in the park. It was nice clean. We stayed in Tongoa Lodge which was ok, but very expensive ift. what one gets. Especially because you have to pay for the animal entrance next door.Visited July 2024Traveled with familyWritten July 26, 2024

The Serengeti Park is worth a trip if you keep a few things in mind.
Make sure you arrive at least 15 minutes before the park opens (better 30 minutes before).
Choose the left lane and choose the first ticket office on the left after the barrier. It's best to get tickets in advance so that it goes faster. Then turn left in your car and park next to the safari lodges and go straight to the VIP Safaris ticket counter. You can drive into the park in your own car (I advise against this as the car could be damaged and you can only drive on the main road). I recommend booking a VIP tour (cheapest option with the double-decker bus for €6.50, but this only drives on the main road and there is no feeding). I recommend the Big Five Tour for €25.50 (on the red mini train). Here you can open the windows, drive along special paths, everything is explained to you and you can feed giraffes and elephants and, if you're lucky, watch the cheetahs being fed. Since these tours are booked up very quickly, you have to hurry (hence the procedure above). Be sure to book the first tour, as later the animals are full and don't want to be fed anymore.
After the tour, go through the main entrance and then keep
right. Here you can go into the monkey enclosures, the ring-tailed lemurs are very trusting. Later there is a petting zoo. Then you come to the Fun Park, there is a lot on offer and there is something for all ages. The Aqua Safari is something for the whole family, here you go on a propeller boat, Andy (boat driver) does a great tour with funny sayings. For some attractions, please check the rules beforehand, as these are only allowed for people over 130cm.
The entrance fee of €45.50 is justified and worth the money. If you then book the VIP tour, you add €25.50 and the total is €71. But there is a lot on offer. My daughter is still raving about feeding the giraffes and elephants. And the theme park is also worth the money.
The only show we saw was the Accapulco jumpers, which were very good.
Food and drink prices in the park are at the usual level.

We have already visited the Serengeti Park for the third time. It is always nice to see the park, as there are always changes and new things, especially in the "amusement park area".
Here I would like to talk specifically about the overnight stay, in this case in the Ranger Lodge.
First of all: it is great, no, excellent, simply super :D
It is not cheap, but it is worth it. We first spent the day in the park and at 6 p.m. we took part in the buffet (must be paid for separately). The food is OK. A normal evening buffet, nothing special but a good selection and you get full. You shouldn't expect star cuisine, but everything was OK and the price/performance ratio is still OK.
Then at 7.45 p.m. the vehicle was handed over and we were given a short introduction to the vehicle and the living cabin. We also received our radio for emergencies.
Then you drive in a convoy (the ranger in front) to the animal enclosure. At that time of day, of course, there are no people around and some animals (rhinos, giraffes) are not running around freely.
We drove slowly to the "sleeping place" where we moved into the living cabin. After that, we are not supposed to leave the living cabin.
The rangers now introduce, explain and feed a few more animals. In our case, there were several ostriches, zebras and a type of ox with giant horns (I've unfortunately forgotten the name).
But you stay in the living cabin the whole time and can experience everything through the window. We were also given an ostrich egg and explained it to them.
You can also see that the rangers really do their job with passion and it was great to see and experience.
All in all, it was a great experience driving through the huge enclosure past the many animals in the vehicle. The animals come to the vehicles, some of them scratching themselves on the vehicles and trying to nibble on them. Then the rangers drive away and you are alone in the wilderness ;)
The next morning you are woken up at around 7 a.m. so that you can leave the enclosure in a convoy again.
It was something very special and can't be topped, except maybe if you do it again in Africa...
We can only recommend it and would like to thank the great rangers again, who really do a great job (anyone who has experienced it knows why...).

We weren't quite sure what to expect. I had read some reviews here, but the children really wanted to go to the park. So let's go
.....
It was said beforehand that there would be huge queues in the morning, so we didn't go until 1:30 p.m., which also made the entrance fee significantly lower. And indeed! Only one car in front of us.
On the Serengeti Park website you could also get a free ticket for the youngest child. So we paid a total of €116 for a family of four with one adult child. We thought that was fine.
Because we had also read here that the prices for drinks and food in the park are very expensive, we took all the food with us.
That way we had already avoided this problem
Other than that it was really great! There were few cars on the road, the animals were adventurous and really enjoyed getting in our way on the road.
The highlight was a giraffe that stuck its head in our car.
The newly born tiger twins with their mother were another highlight, as were the white lions, who sat on their perch just like in nature. And what I personally loved most were the rhinos roaming freely. I was scared for a moment; they ran straight towards us. I don't think you would even see something like that in Africa.
The animals seemed bright and happy overall, and the breeding success is apparently very good. I think that's because they have a lot of space to move around freely.
In contrast to the other reviews here, our children loved the carousel park afterwards. You can go jet boating. I've never seen that anywhere else before. There was also a Ferris wheel. That was something for the whole family. Two roller coasters, also very fun. For us, it was an all-round lovely day. We then spent the night at a campsite nearby, and swam in the river the next morning - there really isn't anything better for a weekend in the summer holidays.
Our tips in summary:
Print out a free ticket online.
Arrive at 1:30 p.m. and pay less for admission.
Be sure to eat and drink and take some snacks with you.
Then it will be a fantastic day

We were travelling as a family of 5, with a 4-month-old baby.
Tickets booked online in advance and then set off at 9 a.m. sharp, 6 km from the campsite.
Well, but there it was anyway - the enormous chaos of the journey. We spent a good 1.5 hours in the metal caravan because unfortunately there were no coordinates of pre-booked guests, coaches or people paying on site. But hey, with the prospect of fun and excitement you accept that to some extent. Unfortunately, when we got to the cash desk, there was also a defect with the cash register/scanning system in the car in front of us and so everyone passed us by again.
When we finally arrived, the signs for the parking spaces were sporadic. We wanted to do our safari with the Serengeti bus.
Beautiful, old, aging double-decker buses. Bus driver Christin was in a great mood, explained things well and always had a witty remark about the heavy traffic. Yes, if you drive your own car, you can take a lot more time and look at the animals. But our life was good for the 50 minute tour. Some animals blocked the road, others got up close and personal with the VIP Safari buses, others (lions) weren't bothered at all.
Now it was time to discover the leisure paradise.
The prices at the food stalls are absolutely excessive, as already mentioned. Crêpes for €5.50 - tasty, but sometimes stick in your throat - because of the price.
Availability of stalls - well, unfortunately there seems to be a lack of staff, many stalls were simply not open and there were long queues at the ones that were open.
The carousels and attractions have been around for a few days, but are a lot of fun, provided you have enough time to wait. The jet boat and speed boat tours are particularly popular, so the wait is at least 30 minutes. Combined with the many other smaller waiting times, it's impossible to do in one day, as you lose a lot of time at the entrance.
Conclusion: you should see them once, but then it's probably enough for the next 10 years. The children were absolutely blown away, but were also pretty exhausted after all the waiting. But we all had fun, though.

We knew Serengeti Park from television for a long time and talked about visiting it again and again. Finally it was time – and we were absolutely not disappointed!
Driving through the different parts of the world was an incredibly great experience. Seeing the varied wildlife up close was simply fascinating. It wasn't just the children's eyes that got big here! Even the occasional traffic jams didn’t bother at all, as they provided the perfect opportunity to watch the animals in peace and take great photos.
A particularly positive surprise was that the theme park is also included in the entrance fee. We hadn't known that before! This is really a great achievement for the price. So we were able to end the afternoon with many exciting attractions. We particularly liked unique rides such as the monster trucks, the propellers and the jet boats. These attractions are definitely a unique selling point of the park and hopefully should never be discontinued – even if they may seem a bit controversial in this day and age.
Our conclusion: Serengeti Park is a fantastic experience for young and old. We can fully recommend a visit and hope that one day our children may return with their grandchildren. A place that creates lasting memories!

A nightmare of a vacation day! Over an hour of waiting at the ticket booths because there was no coordination between the guests who had arrived by bus and the drivers. Then an hour and a half of waiting for the bus tour through the enclosures, which lasted over two hours. Traffic had come to a complete standstill - due to undisciplined drivers and the park being totally overcrowded. In addition to the exhaust fumes from the diesel buses that are over 40 years old, there is also the air pollution from thousands of cars! Apparently, pure greed is enough to keep this outdated concept going. Restricting access or introducing electric or hydrogen buses is out of the question. The very old rides with their equally unacceptable waiting times on this day are not worth the horrendous entrance fee either. Never again! And I hope to be able to save others from this madness...

I had to give this park one star otherwise can't put the review if I had a choice zero. The worst Amusement Park/ Safari Park in the World.
Slow Operations rides leading to arguments among visitors
Terrible layout
Food is is uneatable
Rides are poor (Funfair has better rides cheaper)
Staff seemed overwhelmed
You can't even see the Animals due to the layout straight into Amusement area
Most area's closed
We not the only ones who had a problem with this park check out Google reviews one star. From guests staying at the park poor accomodation to animals chased to cars for close up photos.
I am not sure what this attraction is it's not a Safari Park or Amusement Park .
The cost of this can be better spent on going to Dortmund Zoo (Bears 🐻❤️) and Phantasialand which are what they say they are and more safer and a more Family experience.

We, four girlfriends, were very much looking forward to spending the night in the booked Rangermobiles, all the more disappointed that we were “not just literally” in the rain because of a defective vehicle.
It was known that the door lock was broken and we should only use the key and under no circumstances the latch. After many soulful attempts to get into the mobile, we tried several times to get help at the reception - misrepresentation. After we were completely soaked, after about 2 hours, came the offer for 2 of my girlfriends, you could stay in a double-decker bus. We wanted to do a girls' weekend, so it was out of the question for me to go out alone with the one Ranger Mobil.
After another audition and at our insistent request, we were then allowed to move to the biplane.
This was okay, but don't hold what we had imagined and booked.
But then not enough, we stood around in the parking lot for another 3 hours, because the cables for connection were missing in the open field and one could not get because an employee had taken the keys?!
Around 10:00 pm a bus driver finally came and drove us out into the open space. There was then again something missing for the connection and it was in discussion to drive us back again, because without electricity we would have no light and also could not use the toilet. At last around 11.00pm the redemptive news from the Ranger that we are still getting electricity, but all this has already tugged our nerves quite a bit.
The only thing I would like to mention with all this misorganization is the Ranger, who despite this dilemma always remained super friendly and also the bus driver, who had persevered so long despite working hours to drive us out.
Unfortunately, there has been absolutely no reply to a letter I wrote to the management afterwards, simply a brief apology for our inconvenience I would have liked, that would have just been the case, and this ignorance annoys me a lot.
The next day we made it nice and the park with the many different animals is already really great, apart from the hundreds of cars that drive through, which will certainly cause stress and health damage to the animals.
Our conclusion: We certainly won't be going to this park anymore, so things would have to change first, especially for the benefit of the animals.

We had booked an overnight stay with our 8-year-old son at the Masai Mara Lodges with the giraffes, antelopes and ostriches. Our son had been most excited about the giraffes up close. When we arrived, we could not yet get to the lodge and went to the park. Did the bus safari there. That was okay for now. Slurped through a few enclosures, but weren't lucky to see animals everywhere in the late afternoon. Fortunately, the skull monkeys that did it to our son were still very active. One whizzed right past his leg and sat over him in the tree. Then we also had dinner directly in the restaurant Manyara. A totally overpriced buffet dinner with overpriced drinks. When we got to our lodge, there were no more giraffes. Even in the morning when getting up "only" antelopes, ostriches and co. Are then to the included breakfast, which was a disaster. Totally overcrowded, no cutlery, butter dispenser empty, hardly any rolls left in the baskets. When we came back from breakfast and had to clear the lodge, the giraffes were also outside. So we weren't having any more of it. We were told that the giraffes can hurt themselves quickly and are therefore brought in early in the evening and only let out later in the morning because the grass was still damp. A note on the homepage, which is completely restructured, confusing and uninformative, would have been nice. So then they had walked again in the park, to the elephants because you don't go there by bus and went to the VIP tour desk at 12 o'clock to book a tour so our son can see the animals even more up close. But the next ones were only with start in 2 to 2.5 hours. And were also very expensive. That was too late for us as we still had a way back of 2.5 hours. So we went home.
The Masai Mara Lodges were recommended for this in themselves from the facilities and location on the outdoor area. However, an overnight stay for 3 people with breakfast of 204 € is no bargain either.
Overall a mixed, insanely expensive weekend. And that even though it was anniversary weekend with half admission.

The park with the animals is really a great experience. We were really lucky and didn't have to wait long at the ticket office/entrance.
The animals have fun and stand on the road in such a way that they block the way and cause chaos 😂. Nobody can do anything about that.
The entrance fee is really steep but for the sake of the animals and as a highlight of the holidays we decided to go to the park. The rides afterwards round off the day but the park is really rather embarrassing. Bad signage, closed rides, dirty toilets and the prices at the kiosks spoiled your appetite.
Our three children really liked it but when you look at it from an adult's perspective you start to doubt the concept.

Moin! We (dad and mom) would like to visit this Park with our 1,5 year old child.
Which month would you recommend us as the best for visiting? And which lodge for overnight?
Thank you in advance for your reply!

We cannot recommend because of the young Child.

Jambo!

Vielen Dank.
Jutta

Hi, is there an option to camp in your park?
Written July 7, 2019
I suppose no since they offer their own Lodging facilities. But still get in touch with them to be sure.
