Touristic highlights of Spa on a Half Day (4 Hours) Private Tour with a local

It is the world’s original spa resort. Spa grew up around a natural source long praised for its supposed healing properties. Charles II of England and Peter the Great came to take the waters at Spa, but these springs had been frequented for many centuries by that time, and were even described by Pliny the Elder. Such was the importance of the resort for the upper crust in the 1700s and 1800s that “Spa” became the generic English term for hydrotherapy. Our fun and entertaining guide will make this a memorable experience for you. It is one of the best experiences to immerse yourself into the begian culture and to fall in love with Ghent even more.

Nice place for a walk. You can water cycling with your children. There is also a bar and restaurant nearby and a playground.

A really nice little lake with big fish. The lake has a paved road around it so it’s a perfect short & easy walk with little children. There’s a little waterfall & you can see tracks off a beaver. Don’t forget to bring some bread to feed the ducks and the big carp fish.

We walked around the lake it was nice and peaceful and then had a drink at Le Jardin des Elfes. They didn’t speak any English but we were still able to order our drinks👍. It was early October on a Thursday when we were there so couldn’t hire boats.

We park a few miles before and make an extra walk in the sportcenter park with a old building on top of the hill. You can add a few miles and go in the woods with sources. Nice scenery!

Walking distance from the town of Spa. Calm and peaceful place. Especially in the morning, when you're alone with the ducks and geese, breathe in the good Ardennes air and enjoy the beautiful surrounding woods and hills. There are some nice places to eat as well.
