I've been here years ago and the park has been transformed. The pros: brand new energy efficient building which houses the reception but also a hall with digital and audio visual exhibits which were very informative about the migrating birds that visit/stay in this reservation. Outside: several observation huts, some equipped with telescopes so you could spot and admire birds... More

Despite the rain it's an interesting piece of nature to visit. The recently opened visitors centre explains history and peculiariteis of this unique part of Belgium. We spotted rare birds and a storch colony.

We decided to go there on our way to Knokke. It is a natural parc currently under some changes and renovations. After 15min walking you access the beach and have an amazing view of the Belgium coast. This activity is mainly done by bike, you can then do an entire ride around the parc.

The nature park was apparently remodelled and reopened on June 10, 2016. However, when We visited, it was far from finished. Missing signage and empty exhibits (especially the nature huts) didn't help. So although the park was definitely not ready for a grand opening, an entrance price of 12 euros was charged which was clearly outrageous. On top of that,... More

Het Zwin is a beautiful nature reverse one should visit early in the year before the tourism season starts. It's totally empty of people then and makes a great place for long walks, relaxing and watching nature. Bring water proof boots if you want to cross, as the water is still pretty cold in early march!

Beautiful nature reserve. Great for walking or for relaxing bike rides. Wonderful scenery, relaxing nature walks away from the busy shopping streets of Knokke. Bird watching, wild horses, other animals, specific plants in this dunes landscape close by the sea. You can also book guided tours. Till the opening of the new Zwin Nature Park in Summer 2016, the access... More

We had a nice bike riding an also a nice walk trough the Zwin. It's wonderful watching all kinds of birds an other animals. Pure nature just to recommend doing it.You just have to take care of the so called "Sports Biker " which are passing by without respecting other slower bike riders. They are not biking to see the nature.
