This little church on the Worgl - Kufstein road is well worth a visit. Carved out of the rock and perched above the village, it is 650 years old with a different chapel on each floor, each one charming and with its own character. Very atmospheric. Lots of stairs.

This church is specific for its inside organization. You need to take a lot of stairs to get to the main part in the tower. Firstly, you can visit the chapels, but don´t forget to take 1 euro´s coins, if you want to hear some sacral music. When you go upstairs, you see the first big chapel, second one is above it. It seems together like two churches in one, in the both, you can admire nice altars. It is possible to look at the mountains outside through the window.

Small church with 3 areas.This is a small and historic church with original design from 400 years ago. Located in a beautiful area.One can stop by on the way to a bigger city like Innsbruck or Munchen.

Mariastein is located in a pastorally remote area near Kufstein. We came early in the morning when the morning dew was still wet in the meadow. The Church is built on a cliff and you can climb the 150 steps to the top of the 42 m tower. The stairway is full of pilgrim's photos and after about 70 stairs you arrive at a colorful Chapel. We enjoyed it a lot
