Silence, fauna, flora... enjoy the nice walk through the park before you end up on the beach. We were here in May when it is less crowded and there is almost no traffic. I guess when it is really vacation period, it will be very busy here. We parked before the bridge as we wanted to enjoy the walk. We did not had to pay anything, although again in touristic season I guess you have to pay something, There was a price list, but we did not look at the detail. It is worth to walk through.

Trieste, Italy7 contributions9 helpful votes
Having lived in Trieste for years, I decided to take my wife and son to the Ginestre. Being one of the last remaining beaches on the 'to visit' list, we were curious to go. I'd heard it was a bit pricey, but had no idea how much. We went on a Wednesday, when in theory it costs less. I have a large car and was dismayed to find that parking was not free, in spite of the place being way out of town: 12 euros gone and we hadn't even set foot in the place. At the entrance the dismay continued; 9 euros each and 4 for our son. We're now at 34 euros and we haven't even sat down yet. Add 18 euros for the two sun beds and umbrella and we get a total of 52 euros! Now, the place is nice and pretty, but nothing so special as to warrant the prices. If you're wealthy and happy to spend, you'll probably be happy to go there, but otherwise, I would try one of the other locations in Trieste such as Grigano 1 for relaxation and class, or Grignano 2 for the kids with its swimming pools. Needless to say, we'll likely never return.
