Never heard of this place despite visiting the area for years, only an hours drive over countryside for us, an absolute delight despite weather been gloomy and visiting later in year (so not many flowers) can't wait to go back in a different season, lady in entrance Kiosk was lovely and the coffee was delicious, what's not to like?

I'd never heard of Castle Hill until our local art group organised a sketching afternoon there. Approaching along the drive I could see the distant buildings gleaming in the sunlight. Signposting was good and I parked the car as directed. I was given a warm and friendly welcome and provided with a (free) map which showed just how extensive the... More

This is a very grand looking place. It has a beautiful millenium garden in muted colours, mauve, purple and pink, with a grand water feature. It was raining when we visited, but I am sure it is lovely when the sun shines.

We enjoyed this garden because of its herbaceous borders that were looking full and colorful for our visit. The little tea house provided us with soup and roll (only lunch available) and a seat outside looking up towards the house.

We love it here and always visit when in the area. We welcome the lovely teahouse. The gardens and staff excellent. A must just for the peace, let alone the inspiration

I went with my partner and two year old son on a Sunday morning. We had firstly tried to visit on a Saturday not realising that they don't actually open Saturdays! We also didn't realise that they do not accept card payments so we had to nip away again to go and get some cash! However, once we'd got all... More

This is a lovely place for the children to run round. The Millennium gardens are superbly planted out. There is a lovely walk around the estate which gives you lovely views. The ticket office supplies tea and cake. The cake is homemade and worth having.

We stopped here and they’re a lovely set of gardens to walk around. They’re quite big so plenty of walking to do and lots of ups & downs if you want to see it all. The miniature castle up on the hill seems like an odd thing to build but worth looking at. The azaleas and rhododendrons were out when... More
