Had been here twice till date ; once on a full-on monsoon and another time during April- Splendid location and a delight for trekkers!! Not so easy to find - and hence its not so littered and dirty yet.

Its a road less travelled by many ! Surprisingly our tourism minister even though hails from Uttara kannada , not much has been done in this region in terms of tourist amenities, leave alone other things like cable car or access to view points etc . However some brave hearts are venturing in these region at own risk and it... More

Sirsi town is situated in Western Ghats, surrounded by evergreen forest and gifted with large number of waterfalls. Aghanashini River emanates at "Donihalla" near Sirsi and flows creating many waterfalls along its path to merge in Arabian Sea. Many trekkers are familiar with Sirsi as it has been attracting them as well as nature lovers. Its location is an ideal... More

Travelled for about an hour to see these falls, in a gorge about a mile deep, they must be fantastic - but, we did not see them, all we saw was cloud and mist! As I said, I am sure the falls are great to see but it is best to visit in the afternoon when the mist has dispersed.... More

Unchalli falls are about 50 km from Jog Falls and I strongly recommend visiting Unchalli rather than Jog. This is due to the fact that even during lean rainy season like this year, Unchalli still has plenty to offer as opposed to Jog which practically dries up due to water being withheld on upstream dam. The falls are beautiful to... More

The falls seemed absolutely serene to us. The water was very gushy and the length was worth the appreciation! Not many are aware of the stunning Unchalli falls which is a shame to the district government who has done nothing in the area of tourism or its promotion! The roads have no proper signboards (we were driving from Sirsi) and... More

Unchalli is a great place to visit in Monsoon. But be informed that there are no good food joints nearby, so carry enough food and water. Also the descend to the falls is through a large number of steep steps, which are very tiresome to ascend. Summer months will be extremely tough due to humid weather.

Awesome to the core- The water level in the falls was excellent being monsoon that we could hardly see the falls- The force with which the water went down rose up as vapour to the extent it completely blocked the falls- The showers were felt all over and was complete fun getting drenched in the shower without even getting close... Visited in mid August. Need to walk 500mts from the parking area to the view point. The path is not smooth and has a lil ups and downs. The place is not hygienic and well maintained. However, the view is just mesmerizing. But to get the full view of the falls, we had to wait there like 30-45 mins as... More
